I am a first time buyer and I didn’t know the legal processes or the time scales expected. Jake was really attentive and explained things throughly for me to understand.
Was a really straight forward process for me and stress free because of the personal service i received. Highly recommend.

We had a couple of different solicitors dealing with our sale and purchase but towards the end we was allocated to Joseph and holly. I can't thank Joseph and holly enough, they was put in a tricky position by our buyers solicitor who caused us a significant amount of stress however Joseph and Holly was there to listen to our concerns and frustration as well as handle the situation with utmost professionalism.

We got there in the end …

Lots of communication issues from the start. We changed teams several times at the beginning because both ours and the vendors solicitors claimed not to be receiving any information from the other. We were eventually put onto Amy Hobsons team and she and her assistant Kiana got the job done. Due to the vendor having issues with their onward property, I don’t think it could have been done any quicker. But there were errors in paperwork that took an excessively long time to fix and lack of communication. Getting through via phone was almost impossible and response times to emails were varied. As first time buyers we have nothing to compare it to, it was frustrating at times but we got there in the end.

Teething Problems

There were a few teething problems, however once my concerns were swiftly addressed my experience greatly improved. I had good communication throughout, and the matter was dealt with in a professional manner. It was a shame that this was delayed initially but it was resolved in the end.

House purchase

PM. Were far too slow. Asking me on three separate occasions for proof of my savings, instead of once, clarify exactly requirements. Failure to answer emails, very often it took 15 minutes waiting for the phone to be answered, my Estate Agents had to constantly ask for answers on progress of the purchase. PM. Appeared to be delaying progress.
It took five months from start to finish. On a straight forward purchase, I had no mortgage also there was no chain.
PM. Are un professional. I don't know how they survive against all their competitors.
And I would never use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The list of issues I've faced is endless. From never responding to emails to making promises of action that never materialized, forcing me to call every single day. I was simply trying to do an equity transfer, which took seven months and led to me being stuck with a 7.5% standard variable mortgage rate. They left paperwork untouched for months. On multiple occasions, they claimed delays were due to waiting for paperwork that I had sent weeks earlier, wasting a ton of money on next-day delivery. They NEVER reply to emails. I work a demanding job, so having to carve out time every day to call was both intrusive and stressful. Eventually, I had to escalate the matter to a senior staff member. Even after "completing" on December 18th, they held onto the equity transfer funds for a month without paying off the mortgage or the transferee. To top it all off, my management company contacted me, saying they've been emailing PM Property Lawyers nonstop because they haven't received any of the necessary paperwork. Now, I’m in breach of my lease. As a 30-year-old woman handling all of this alone, the stress, financial strain, and emotional toll this company has caused is beyond words.

I used PM Property Lawyers for the purchase of my house. At first I found them quite slow to respond to emails and I was also allocated a few different people. But Team Lancaster were really efficient and kept me updated. Emails were responded to in a timely manner and it took approximately 10 weeks to complete the purchase. On the day of completion everything was done by 11.30am which was surprising and all went through smoothly. Thank you PM Property Lawyers. Would I use them again, with the experience I had yes I would.

Can't fault our experience with PM Property lawyers. We dealt with all different members of the team mainly Donna towards the end who has always been able to respond to and help with all our queries. While there was a stage where we struggled to get replies through emails, they were always at the end of the phone so make sure to keep reaching out if you want to make sure everything gets done, don't get lost at the bottom of the inbox and if you're not sure about anything ask, I had to double and triple check so many things and they would still always reply. Have exchanged this week and due to complete on Friday and really grateful to the work our solicitors have done! Seen a lot of bad reviews so wanted to take the time to thank the team.

I really regret going with this firm. I have spent 20+ hours in total on hold trying to get through to my case handler (my purchase hasn't gone through yet so I expect this number to rise significantly). When you are on hold for for 90 mins the line just goes dead and you have to call again and wait at the back of the queue. When you call the main office line all they tell you is to call the direct line of the case handler. I called around 2 weeks ago to make a complaint and they said someone will get back to me but no one has as of yet. Not a single one of my emails have been replied to. I would give 0 stars if I could, it has truly been one of my worst experiences. Would not recommend.
