Awful experience
I had 4 case owners. The final solicitor that got the file over the final line was a contracted in externally and demonstrated a completely different level of professionalism and efficiency. So kudos Melissa. I would frequently spend an hour on hold to then be told I cannot speak to the solicitor. Which happened almost every time for the duration of the sale.

Home move
I originally was purchasing a home off the open market and was working with Jennifer Turton. Jennifer and her team were professional, helpful, always quick to respond and happy to help with any queries. Unfortunately that sale fell through and we went onto purchase a new build so I had to be transferred to another team. My experience was much less positive with them. I found I was having to chase everything, questioning things like being told to sign a box that was clearly the wrong one, then receiving a curt response to tell me it was correct… but then receiving another copy with the correct line highlighted, with no acknowledgment that they advised me wrong. We were also settling our help to buy loan and the amount charged was wrong. When I raised this with my solicitor, they told me it would be updated on the report they were due to receive with a new completion date. Being close to my completion date (two days) I didn’t want to wait so rang Help to Buy myself and they did have the wrong amount and had to correct. If I hadn’t called they would have received an incorrect amount with just an updated completion date and then we’d have had to pay £2500 too much. I feel like if it wasn’t for my husband and I being on the ball, questioning and chasing things, then we wouldn’t have completed in time.

They got the job done
We are first time buyers so we are not sure about the paperwork associated with the house purchase. There was very little guidance over what documents were, what they meant and what needed signing to be returned as we got bombarded with emails with lots of attachments and it was overwhelming.
That being said, they did get the purchase done and they were good with communicating at exchange and completion as these were same day.
If I was a first time buyer and would like a more personal assisted experience with a house purchase I would go with a solicitor that tailors to your purchase rather than a team of different people from a firm but this may be reflected in the price as PM was very competitive with pricing.

Helpful through the process but some things to improve on
Sent over all forms needed to be signed quickly and efficiently. However some forms were hard to fill out due to being unclear.
Was hard to get through on the phone to the solicitors, possibly due to large amounts of calls however the staff were kind and helpful.
Contact through email was easy and efficient.
