Customer experience had a taste as sour as vinegar. Need sweetening up
I recently used PM Property Lawyers (PMPL) for the conveyancing of a new home purchase. While the process eventually reached a successful conclusion, my experience was mixed, and I feel it's important to provide a fair account.
The positives:

- The transaction was completed successfully, which I appreciate.
- PMPL’s app is user-friendly for initial setup, and the integration with Armalytix for verification of funds was seamless.
- Kiana's personality was great. She should have been the main solicitor instead of Amy! Since Amy was almost non-existent until the last days of the process.
The challenges:

Unfortunately, the journey to completion was far from smooth. Communication was the most significant issue. I often had to chase for updates, and there was a lack of proactive engagement. My assigned solicitor was largely unresponsive during key stages, and I often felt left in the dark regarding progress on my file. This caused unnecessary stress, particularly as I was managing tight timelines and family considerations.
Additionally, the PMPL app, while useful, did not consistently reflect real-time updates on the case, which added to my frustration. Advertised timelines were not met, and the clarity around services like “fast track” was lacking.
Overall impression:

While I’m grateful for the eventual completion of my purchase, the journey with PMPL left much to be desired. Improved communication and adherence to timelines would significantly enhance their service. I hope this feedback helps PMPL refine their approach for future clients.

Wouldn’t use again!
We chose this firm to complete our house purchase in June and it took 5/6 months to complete with no chain either side. This was a long time to complete and unacceptable! Communication was poor and they were difficult to get hold of and never replied to messages on their app. When they answered the phone you just got the same generic excuses and it was like they didn’t care.

Miss
PM Selicitors were very professional very good at responding to emails every time and very petitioned. The answer phone calls quickly and they are very helpful . I totally recommend them.

Poor communication
Took over 5 weeks to follow up to an email that they didnt send to me about a an address document which then took another 2 weeks of getting documents sorted which they said could be acceptable but ended up not being accepted which meant we were delayed over 5 weeks and then there was poor communication over the planned completion date which meant we were not informed to this and meant we could not help get it over the line in time for what we wanted- team Hobson were very nice and professional and always available to help with queries however the experience as a whole was not a pleasant one

Awful experience
I had 4 case owners. The final solicitor that got the file over the final line was a contracted in externally and demonstrated a completely different level of professionalism and efficiency. So kudos Melissa. I would frequently spend an hour on hold to then be told I cannot speak to the solicitor. Which happened almost every time for the duration of the sale.

Property sale
The people we dealt with were very professional and always polite, the main issue we had was being kept up to date with the progression of the sale. We replied when asked to supply requested information but never had a response as to whether the information supplied was correct. This was our only criticism.

5 Magdalene way
We purchased a property from rented which took 18 weeks. Every step of the way was left until the last minute by the solicitors. Communication was acceptable but a change in team and a 2.5 week holiday by the solicitors delayed the process further. Additional charges were also added through the process.
