Over the past 45 years the firm has grown from a one man band to what is now a large regional law firm employing over 230 staff across 17 offices throughout Yorkshire. selling my house and buying a flat

My wife and I chose Ison Harrison in Pudsey for our conveyancing, as we knew they had a good "steady" reputation in legal circles. (Prior to retirement, wife and I had both been professionals working in the court system). The Pudsey office itself is totally unsatisfactory, having been a tiny jewellers shop in a previous life, and now the display windows astride the entrance door serve as the only interviewing space. Quite bizarre! However, the staff there were courteous, professional and knowledgeable to a fault. Nothing was too much trouble, and though both parts of the buying and selling process were drawn out, the delays were all down to the other parties.

Ison Harrison acted on the recent purchase of our new home . Throughout they were always courteous ,speedy in their response, and provided full and comprehensive written assessments on the legal implications of the property . They acted both on our behalf and on behalf of our Mortgagee and coordinated both efficiently and well . When time was of the essence they responded . We never felt they only dealt when our file came to the top of the pile !

Our buyers used this firm as a conveyancer and they were appaling. They were the source of numerous delays with all the other solicitors in the chain repeatedly stating that Ison Harrison were being either incompetent or deliberately obstructive. If in a chain and you see someone has appointed this firm I recommend you get them to change early to save a lot of pain later on.

Very nasty receptionist, didn’t want to hear a single word I was saying. Moment I said hello I could hear hear her huffing and puffing. If you’re not happy in the job you’re in then leave it, no point driving away business for the law firm.

As you can see the firm has enjoyed substantial growth over the past decade. We have always taken the view that standing still as a business is not an option for us. We have seen many law firms either go out of business or reduce in size over the years and we were determined not to struggle in the same way. We have therefore constantly looked to improve. We have looked for opportunities to grow our profile, the number of our offices, and the breadth of services that we offer. We have looked for ways to improve our internal processes, employee engagement and how we deal and communicate with clients.
