Over the past 45 years the firm has grown from a one man band to what is now a large regional law firm employing over 230 staff across 17 offices throughout Yorkshire. Massive thanks to James and Georgie!

We were recommended to work with Ison Harrison by our mortgage advisor and it was a great recommendation. When you hear about conveyance solicitor firms, our first thoughts were to expect delays and long periods of silence. James Turnbull and Georgie Strandmann provided us with the total opposite experience. They were extremely attentive and James was amazing at keeping us up to date throughout the process. When we requested a completion date, James helped ensure everything was done for it! Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, even the very novice questions we had 😅 we’re both very appreciative of the service they provided and would recommend both James and Georgie and Ison Harrison. Big ups ✌️

Ison Harrison were recommended to me for the Conveyancing when selling mum's house. Their approach was crisp and refreshing, which is what I needed to complete this sad and emotional task. They were 100% professional providing the correct level of information and details of actions required. Charges were on par with than another company, but the clarity of the initial conversation guided me to them. I would definitely recommend this company, especially Matthew.

Things got off to a slow start with this firm . However there was a change of personnel - namely James and Louise - at which point, the conveyance got sorted super quickly .

Both members of staff were efficient and professional - first class . However a special mention has to go to Louise - she managed the expectations of the chain, liased with ever increasing queries from estate agents and kept a human side when dealing with me . She patiently explained the process and her speed of email response was impressive . I felt like I was her only client . A truly brilliant service .

Worst company we have ever had the mis-fortune be to having to deal with. Represented our sellers for our moving chain. Solicitor ignored calls, never answered an email to our Agents or Solicitor & lied multi times when advising he was ready to exchange. Their incompetence caused hundreds of £’s to people in the chain by their unnecessary delays, not even having ID checks complete after months of representing their clients, and issues with funds which are basics at the point of taking on customers. If you want a professional, seamless and easy moving experience DO NOT USE them!!

I have recently had a terrible experience with the Harrogate branch of Ison Harrison.
They made an error with paper work which could have easily been rectified, had they owned up and said 'sorry'. But they refused to apologise, and behaved in a way which I found arrogant and unprofessional.
I will never use them again.

Would give 0 stars if I could. The worst customer experience we have ever encountered. Ignored phone calls and emails, poor advice, and a deep lack of professionalism throughout. Thankfully our case was eventually passed onto a solicitor in the Bingley branch who actually cared about the service she provided and we have now been given a partial refund. The solicitor and his assistant we were unfortunate enough to be allocated to originally at the Harrogate branch were an absolute disgrace.

As you can see the firm has enjoyed substantial growth over the past decade. We have always taken the view that standing still as a business is not an option for us. We have seen many law firms either go out of business or reduce in size over the years and we were determined not to struggle in the same way. We have therefore constantly looked to improve. We have looked for opportunities to grow our profile, the number of our offices, and the breadth of services that we offer. We have looked for ways to improve our internal processes, employee engagement and how we deal and communicate with clients. All partners and managers recognise the importance of communication and set the tone within the firm employing honest, open and prompt communication with clients and colleagues alike.
