Outstanding service.

We engaged Paul A to apply for probate on my mum's estate as we were in the process of selling her flat to pay for her care when she died. It is not cheap and we were somewhat hesitant to do it because of that, but we are extremely thankful we did. Paul got everything sorted and probate granted extremely fast - he absolutely went above and beyond for us at a very difficult time and I would thoroughly recommend him.

Worst experience

This was one of the worst experience. It started with assigning me and my sellers same solicitor. It was changed later which I got to know through some document sent by agent, but never got any communication from Taylor Rose and also wasted a month of time. Each time getting response from solicitor required at least 2-3 weeks of follow up and they were not clear in their approach. Even the information of contract exchange postponement was received from agent and not solicitor. Towards the end I got bills almost twice the quoted price. On asking for details they handed a client care letter detailing the charges which should have been a part of quote. I feel like cheated. I was expecting a more transparent quote before starting the process. They are forcing services without communicating about it and then billing it when client cannot back off. I will never recommend them.

Excellent service throughout

I needed assistance of a solicitor, after being involved in an accident. I went onto the law society website to look for an accredited solicitor in personal injury. Having never been in this position before, I had a lot of questions about this unknown territory.
Caroline Kempster, a partner at Taylor Rose, called me and dispelled any queries I had. Caroline has guided me through every step of the way. We mainly communicated via email, which was excellent. She was only a phone call away, if I needed to speak to her personally. Caroline did make the process so much more manageable and easy to understand. Always professional and personable, I would highly recommend her services at Taylor Rose.

Above and beyond

Moving house is a very stressful business and we came up against a fair few hurdles, as is to be expected.

Teaghan has always been helpful, switched-on and responsive, going above and beyond to ensure that we understood the process at each and every step and taking on any tasks that she could mitigate for us.

There were a number of delays caused by the solicitors acting on behalf of the other parties and the housing association with a share in the property being sold by us. This meant that the exchange took place less than 24 hours before completion! It was nerve inducing, but we knew that throughout the process Teaghan was always one step ahead of everyone else.

We highly recommend her services. Always polite, personable and positive. We’re very grateful and now adjusting to life in a suitably sized home for our growing family. Thank you :)

I sincerely hope that this review helps you decide that choosing Taylor Rose to act on your behalf is the right choice if you want a solicitor that is proactive, provides advice and is empathetic. This is my second occasion of using Taylor Rose, the first was the purchase of my mums retirement apartment four years ago to relocate my partially sighted 80 year old mother to be close to me. I didn’t know then that she had early Alzheimer’s and over the next few years her health changed drastically. Fast forward to Dec 23 and mum was hospitalised and never returned to her lovely flat that I had personally renovated for her, instead she went to a care home. In today’s care for the elderly in Brighton this means finding £1400 per week to pay for care and quickly selling assets to fund. Practically this is fine, emotionally it’s very traumatic, especially when mums flat had once meant so much to her and I. Paul Green totally took my emotional state in to consideration, every step of the sale. In fact when my dreadful estate agents were trying to force me to move out of the property quickly and were interrupting my holiday with emails, it was Paul that stepped in. Paul was picking up the phone to me and doing the leg work and negotiations to keep the sale from not falling through and managing the estate agent. He did his best to allow me some rest and relaxation from all the emotions of this sale and my mums admission to care and we got the sale through on some reasonable terms.Whilst like most services nowadays, you self serve by using a portal to submit documents and updates, which is straightforward and easy by the way. The differentiator is that Paul Green supports you with the right level of personal phone contact to keep the sale on track, discuss queries raised and agree resolves. Trust me when I say he is on your side, his advice is balanced and in my experience you feel confident in the decisions you need to make and when to hold your ground or when to concede. Overall in my years of buying and selling around 10 properties Paul Green’s service stands out as the best experience I’ve had. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul and as I said at the start of this review I sincerely hope that you now choose Paul Green to act for you, it will become one of your best decisions!

I honestly cannot recommend Taylor Rose more! They have been utterly fantastic during a very long and stressful time selling my parent’s property. In my opinion, there are some things in life that money cannot buy and one of those is decent human interaction and communication. After already having an issue with a probate solicitor I turned to Taylor Rose to deal with the house sale. After the first phone call to enquire I immediately felt like I was in the right hands. To be able to pick up the phone and be able to speak to someone who knows what is happening and also genuinely listen to me has made every bit of difference. All solicitors are not the same and these stand out way above the rest. I will be shouting about these guys for a long while. Cannot thank Paul Green and his team enough.
