Pay peanuts...Get monkeys! Absolute rubbish service!

Having been required to use Taylor Rose (a firm unknown to me) by my money lender - althouhgh I paid for the service. I became stuck in a loop with a "case worker" (as though I needed social services rather than legal advice!) who was both a trainee and knew less about law than I do.
4 months of trying to get the firm to appreciate that as I am both the freeholder and the leasee, I do not need to write a Certificate of Compliance to myself!!
Since this rating form only allows you to choose "positive superlatives" - let me advise you here - go elsewhere for any services...do not use-up your time or money with this one!

I had an incredibly frustrating…Highly Unreliable and Not to be truste

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Taylor Rose MW, specifically with Richard Cole. My brother and I hired them for a time-sensitive legal matter, and unfortunately, the service we received was unprofessional, delayed, and completely unacceptable.

Richard’s only real contribution was correcting our grammar and providing advice over the phone. We did all the actual work—drafting the statements, completing the questionnaire, and organizing the documents. Despite this, he still took weeks to respond, causing unnecessary delays. During a call, he explicitly agreed to do final edits once we incorporated his feedback. But after we sent the revised version (which only included text he had already reviewed), he suddenly claimed we were asking him to redo the entire job and demanded an extra £1,800—despite our fixed-fee agreement.

We raised this issue with Taylor Rose MW, expecting a fair resolution, but their so-called internal inquiry concluded that they had done nothing wrong. Given the poor service, unjustified extra charges, and lack of accountability, I have no choice but to escalate this to the Legal Ombudsman.

I wouldn’t recommend this firm to anyone looking for professional, transparent, and reliable legal support. Avoid them.

Too Slow/No Communication & Not Proactive !!

Recently had to use Taylor Rose services for re - mortgage purposes (not my choice, panel sols for my new lender) and I have not had a pleasant interaction with TR during the transaction. Overall service was not competitive at all. The communication from PoC at Taylor Rose has been appalling ever. The agent has not been proactive or responsive. I had to chase them on several occasions for an update on the case. They decided to take a very reactive move even after receiving the offer letter and redemption statements from the lender which costed additional charges and penalties. From a customer perspective, this was extremely uncomfortable and made me very anxious. Based on my experience, I would never recommend Taylor Rose services.

Excellent Service

My mother recently bought a flat in Basingstoke and we used Emma Morel and Linda Murphy.
Linda visited my mother to present and discuss the paperwork.
Both Emma and Linda responded to emails and phone calls immediately.
I recommend using this company and particularly Emma and Linda.

Naz Akhtar was brilliant!

I genuinely can not fault Naz Akhtar, she was nothing short of brilliant. We went with TR to buy our first home, something I was very stressed about but Naz was so helpful, kind and patient with us. Everything felt so scary before Naz was involved, she really put us at ease, made time for us with teams calls and even accepted our calls when she was on annual leave. The flat we bought needed a bit of work and Naz managed to get the other side to complete the works and saved us around £10k. Before Naz we had Hasan and Chirag at Taylor Rose and they were completely clueless, having wasted about 3 months doing nothing. The only thing to note is that when we complained at the time we were not only ignored by Hasan and Chirag but also their superior Humza. The way they behaved and acted on our behalf was unprofessional and embarrassing. I have read other reviews which also stated the same about this team, so it's clear that nothing is being done internally about this. If you get these two I would ask to be transferred to Naz immediately (if she has capacity). That being said, we then got transferred to Naz and she got everything moving super quickly. Not only was she super quick but Naz was also very thorough and guided us through everything. Naz, thank you so much for the work you did, we love our new home and are so grateful for everything.

Lack of Updates on Property Purchase Process

I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the lack of communication and progress updates on my property purchase. As a first-time buyer, this is an incredibly important milestone for me, and the prolonged silence over the past two months has made the process unnecessarily stressful and challenging.

Despite my patience and repeated attempts to seek clarity, I have not received any substantial feedback or updates about the status of the transaction. This absence of communication has left me in a state of uncertainty, which is both disappointing and unacceptable, given the critical nature of this matter.

Awful, initially didn't complete the job paid for

Carried out a lease extension and failed to file our application with HMLR after completion. We didn't realise for months when we were selling our flat which caused us an incredible amount of stress.

They didn't care one bit.

worst solicitor

The worst solicitor conveyancing experience ever. Taylor rose use franchise type set up and their case handlers Hassan Khan and Chirag Chopra were the most unprofessional and incompetent team that delayed the process, continuous away on leave, never communicated well with each other or the client. Costing me more than 9 months to do a job that would take normally 4-5 months and with these delays, empty property until completion cost me over £10,000 in losses. I would never recommend the two and who are a black mark to the brand Taylor Rose.

Superb support with a tough sale

We chose Taylor Rose, as it was recommended by an agent. It was the right decision to make.
Sadia, who represented us for our sale and purchase, helped us a lot. She dealt with lots of issues on our sale, caused mainly by a complete negligence on the buyer's side. There were moments when Sadia had to chase other solicitors on daily basis. Eventually, thanks to her, we are in our new home and both sale and purchase are now complete.

Highly recommended!

Unprofessional and Expensive !

Poor from start to finish! Had to be continuously chased up and were very slow to react. When they did respond, it would normally be curt (bordering on rude) responses, more aimed at us rather than addressing the issues or getting on with the work. When urgent enquires were required, they would just send an E Mail and put on hold. Instead of being proactive in making chase up telephone calls. This resulted in us making numerous telephone calls and enquires to get these actions completed. This work by ourselves was not reflected in our bill and we had to pay well above original quote, even though they did reduce part of our bill.

Solicitor Katy Shanel & Conveyancing Assistant Kirisha Manegavasar were exceptional when undertaking the conveyanving for the sale of my property - the process from acceptance of offer to completion was turned around in short timescales, & at all times they were super helpful, thorough, concise when relaying information, &, all in all, a pleasure to work with. Definately recommended! Thank you so much, both!

Beverley Porter was a pleasure to deal with. In fact through what was quite a stressful move she kept me calm and always reassured me that things were going to be ok. If I’m honest, I don’t think I could have got through this process without her.

I would highly recommend Beverley to anyone.
