When I contacted Talbots law I was very distressed and was met with a warm, calm and welcoming approach by the team. I felt they were very supportive and that they listened to my needs and adapted to ensure my unique needs were met. The team supported me with a personalised approach through every stage of the process and through to the final court hearing and were sensitive throughout. They appeared to have the knowledge, skills and experience to support me through the legal process whilst being sensitive about my mental well-being.

They say purchasing a house is one the most of stressful things you can do and using Talbots did nothing but add to the stress.
My Conveyancer (note you won't get a solicitor) lost my queries for three weeks, and then tried blaming the trainee, despite the emails being addressed to the conveyancer.
I had to repeatedly chase for updates, with some 'updates' being one sentence with absolutely no substance.
I received numerous out of office messages with no return date but with an alternative contact, who would also be out of the office.
I tried to escalate to the director of the Edgbaston branch and he was equally as unhelpful, if he actually bothered to reply.
They requested draw down of funds with the mortgage provider to then find a fault with a Fire Risk Assessment that they'd had in their possession for three months, so the purchase nearly fell through and it was only rescued by myself putting in the work and making phone calls to get the Fire Risk Assessment updated.
At one point they asked how i would like to proceed on a legal matter with zero advice or background!! I'm not a solicitor so why was I expected to answer a legal query?
They constantly provided the wrong fees and at one point disregarded the fact that I had already transferred my deposit to them and so tried charging me for that amount as well on the completion statement.
They are completely disorganised, unhelpful, are not proactive, frustrating and ultimately made the purchase an absolute nightmare from start to finish.

At the first meeting Holly was able to put us at ease and we were reassured that this whole complicated process was in very capable hands. She was clear about the costs and timings of the process which turned out to be exactly as set out.
She has been a great support and always responded quickly to any enquiries we had.

I can not recommend Andrea and Monica enough. I have recently completed a leasehold purchase of my first home and could not of asked for a better service. The knowledge and experience from both Andrea and Monica was exceptional and the service they gave me was outstanding. My partner and I were first time buyers so didn't have a lot of knowledge of all the processes that went into buying a house. Talbots were really helpful and guided us through the process and helped ensure it went smoothly.
Monica was so helpful and informative, she took the time to explain the process thoroughly and helped us navigate through all the various bits of paperwork to ensure we knew what we were signing and what it meant. Whenever we brought paperwork into the office she would come down to speak to us in person and let us know next steps and gave us a chance to ask any questions we had, which was a lovely personal touch. She also would get back to us so quickly with any queries we had. We had a really pleasant experience of such an important process. Highly recommend.
