When vw admit scalded, slater and Gordon did say we would get £14k, but ended up with £2k bit of a differences,

I cannot thank or recommend the solicitors at Slater and Gordon enough. Throughout the long period of the claim, the company has been professional, supportive, communicative and thorough. I have been well informed about progress all along too. The case was time consuming, challenging and complicated, but Slater and Gordon rightly persevered to bring the correct outcome. It has taken over 10 years to resolve my case .In october 2023 I was told I won the case and that it will be authorised by the judge soon,my legal adviser has since dissappear nobody knows where she is,her phone number doesnt exist anymore and I am in limbo now not knowing when I will receive the money . .shocking and pathetic
S&G isnt fit for purpose

Customer service is nothing short of abysmal. Had my case for more than an entire year after a car accident which had me doing physio for 6 months. Very unresponsive, you need to do all the chasing as people seem to not be doing their jobs. Closed my case without telling me at one point, opened it then the only people handling were those about to leave the company, and then my case would get left again and back to me chasing. Only for the entire department to shut down and then my case got transferred to the equally useless Carpenters solicitors who did nothing either. So no compensation for me because of this pathetic company.

Had at least 4 claim handlers you ring and email don't get many replys we seem to be doing the running around after them. Now you can't even speak to reception so if your claim handler does not answer emails or calls you have to make an appointment on line to get a call off them. I think they forget they are supposed to be working for you. Think they need to have more staff to give a better service.
