Always a pleasure

Have been using Churchers for many years now for various reasons - but mainly company purchases of residential property. Mel is competent and friendly and always available to give feedback and discuss hurdles and issues. Mel has a pro-active approach to resolving issues

Making of Wills and PoA with Lauren

Making the appointment was very easy and flexible. There was also the kind offer from Lauren to meet us in the Waterlooville office, which is closer to our home, although we did not take Lauren up on this kind offer. The appointment was not rushed and all options and legalities of the will and the PoA were explained clearly and in a way that was easy to understand.

Churchers were professional, timely with their responses and helped with each step of the process of a lease renewal between ourselves and a bigger company. They ensured the process ran smoothly and to a good outcome for all. Would highly recommended.

Outstanding service, competent and caring

We had consulted several solicitors about wills and LPoAs (Lasting Power of Attorneys). We felt frustrated with the lack of continuity, the work was done by solicitors who were not partners and that meant we were at the receiving end of high turnovers plus mergers and acquisitions. We were ‘moved’ to new people who would now look after us, a situation we found neither appealing nor acceptable.
It all changed when we were recommended Churchers, when Lauren McIntosh took us under her wing. We had an initial meeting to make sure the chemistry was right – and we quickly felt that we had come to the right person.
What we like about Lauren: she is an excellent listener, she asks questions without making you feel uncomfortable, she explains consequences and implications in a way that cuts through the legal jargon and she has a brilliant sense of humour. We never felt patronized or judged, she helped us to get the best solution for our needs. We feel that we are treated as individuals with individual requirements and needs, she cares about her clients.
Lasting Power of Attorneys can be daunting – you make decisions which make you look ahead to situations (losing capacity) which you hope will never occur – but putting these documents in place added so much to our peace of mind. Once you get these eventualities sorted, you can get on enjoying life. Lauren added so much value, she raised topics we had not considered and she worked hard to ensure we got what is right for us.
Lauren was an excellent choice for us, we have recommended her many times and we are happy to do so again.

A very concientious lawyer

I have instructed Karen in the past and therefore had no hesitation in instructing Karen for my latest complex sale and purchase, sale to part exchange company and related new build, both with tight timeframes. My overview is of somebody massively concientious, who knows her subject inside out and who can always find or make the time for every query however small. Emails are promptly and accurately dealt with. Karen has a good team working with her who are equally very communicative. She works to exacting standards and has been a pleasure to deal with. The fees are very reasonable for the amount of care and attention on offer. I would 100% recommend Karen!

A difficult time.

We were in the difficult position of having to raise an eviction notice to evict a family member in order to be able to to sell our mothers house to fund her care. Daniel, with empathy and respect gave us the information and options we needed to be able make the appropriate decisions during this time and acted swiftly on our behalf to resolve the issue.

UK GDPR Non-compliant, duplicitous and rude most of the time

This organisation is a joke for my experiences. They claim to be exempt from FOIAR despite offering services on behalf of a public body. Fail to take down any notes when they say 'ive made a note of this' and provide absurd leagle aid advice.

The Legal Aid agency have advised I raise these matters with the SRA about the above and more.

I have been dealing with Andrew Bryan at Churchers Solicitors regarding a recent dispute. He has been professional throughout the process always providing me regular progress reports. His relentless attitude and perseverance towards a rather difficult situation meant we achieved our goals and aspirations set out in our first appointment. I would recommend Andrew and Churchers for all aspects of Law. He is a true gentleman and is a credit to his firm.

Three times I called the office, three times I spoke to someone and explained what I wanted, three times I was promised a call back that day or the next day, nobody could be bothered to follow up. If they can't be bothered to do the basics like returning calls, then I would assume something a bit more technical would be far too difficult for them.
