Last year my wife passed away whilst in a mental health hospital. Initially, the NHS Trust tried to justify the circumstances and did not seem to acknowledge their failings in keeping my wife safe. So without Irwin Mitchell's help, the family would not have got the answers we deserved.
The Irwin Mitchell team (Thomas Riss-Bristow, Larrisa Harpley & Adam Wisman) were brilliant from the start, helping to gather all the required evidence, liaising with the Coroners office and the NHS legal representatives and then supporting the family during a week-long Inquest and the following legal discussions that came after. The team were professional, compassionate and caring throughout and I would highly recommend Tom and the team as they were key in helping us to get answers during these traumatic times.

Messed about and ripped off

appointed these following a dispute with a kitchen retailer who took my money upfront and failed to complete the job
They have ripped me and my insurance company off for approximately 50 grand taken almost 3 years to achieve nothing, had me pay out over £2500 for independent inspection reports all 100% favouring my claim and have now walked away after myself and my family have lived and suffered in a partly fitted kitchen and they advised me to leave it in such a Way as to give the retailer a fare chance to come back and compete the works
The company that carried out the report also dealt with legal matters and they quoted 5k to take the case on however I’d already engaged with Irwin Mitchell
To say it’s not fair is an understatement

Be careful as to whom you put down as an executor of a will because if it's a solicitors the charges for probate/dealing with the estate "could" run into thousands as per the experience here, and it's difficult to nigh impossible to remove them without having to go through a court. Whether it's charging by the hour or charging a percentage of the estate I am sure many don't realise how much this will cost because of course when you write a will you may have no idea of the fees that they will charge. So my advice is if your loved one has made a will through a solicitor maybe an uncomfortable conversation may be best to avoid a massive shock later. We will never know if using Irwin Mitchell as an executor was the wish of our loved one or if possible (alleged) "persuasion" was a factor when the will was being set up. I know our loved one would be horrified if they were still here.

They are an absolute credit to Irwin mitchell and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
I couldn’t have got through the last 5 years without the team I was provided with by Irwin mitchell, following a RTA in 2018. It has been a long lengthy process & still ongoing in some respects but the team always made me feel at ease took control of everything that was over whelming to be, easily staying in contact through phone calls and emails. I couldn’t recommend them more for a personally injury claim, my main point of contact was Laura Mcilduff who I could not fault at all she is the best of the best and has met every need I have endured along with Tom Dias who I have pestered at points along the way, but nothing was a bother. It can be very daunting in the beginning but these guys helped not only me but my family members too, and we powered on through, it was a pleasure to have them on my side, also using other departments now as things progress and have to mention the names, John Riley dibb & lara tucker & Connie smith for there continued support. They are an absolute credit to Irwin mitchell and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

I cannot recommend them enough
I was delighted by the dedication and efficiency of the services provided by these solicitors. They were exceptional with the effort and diligence in gaining a good understanding of our situation and case. Specifically the solicitor handling the matter, a Ms Garrod who was regularly in contact to ask and answer questions, as well as keeping us updated on progress and our options. She was most efficacious and sympathetic to our situation, providing a quality of work unparalleled. Whilst the situation was difficult, the comfort of such professionalism was a panacea in a trying time. I cannot recommend them enough and am profusely thankful for all they did. Whatever negative assumptions one may have of solicitors, they do not apply to this firm. If we’ve need of a solicitor again I would not hesitate to contact them again.

Outstanding service from a great team
Outstanding service from a great team. Emma Bell and her team that included Stephanie Denham have been excellent whilst dealing with our Mesothelioma damages claim for our late father. We were kept informed of progress on a regular basis, a very caring and compassionate team that made this whole experience easier to cope with. I would very highly recommend Emma Bell and her team at Irwin Mitchell.

Completely let down, they need to do better than this
Extremely rude, waited to call them up due to being suggested to go and sort matters out around police negligence, needing help with matters however they are no good, immediately got hung up when speaking, need a solicitor then this is not the place to goto! Completely let down, they need to do better than this, would rate minus stars, just look elsewhere, you'll find better than these.
