Outstanding Service and Professionalism from Ramsdens Solicitors

Ramsdens Solicitors in Holmfirth have been absolutely fantastic in handling the sale of my property. They are extremely organised and always on top of everything—you never need to chase them as they’re already ahead of the game and keep you well-informed throughout.

The team is diligent and professional, with excellent communication delivered in a friendly and approachable manner. They keep the sale moving smoothly, prompt you on anything you need to do, and stay on top of any potential hold-ups.

Altogether, it was a great experience—one of the best I’ve had. I have no hesitation in recommending Ramsdens Solicitors for their outstanding service!

The best conveyancing team we've experienced in 40 years !

Stacy Carr and her team are definitely the most professional and efficient conveyancing team we’ve ever experienced (having used them for 3 sales/purchases) – and that’s after having bought/sold approaching 25 properties (UK or France) over the last 40 years ! So we’ve experienced quite a few conveyancing teams – and Ramsdens is definitely the best !

Not bad, but room for improvement

We recently used Ramsdens Solicitors for their conveyancing services to help us purchase our first house. We were on quite a strict deadline due to a variety of factors and the purchase was in a position to be able to move quickly. Initially things got off to a good start, helped by their easy to use portal as a means of receiving/sending documents and to be fair to the team, they were accessible with us being able to usually talk to them on the phone if we called or receive a same day call back if they were busy. Unfortunately, the purchase hit a bit of an issue which delayed things. This delay should only have been minimal if the outstanding issues had been chased. But our experience was that Ramsdens were happy to send the information and then forget about it and not chase it. In the end, the estate agents, the mortgage brokers and ourselves did all the chasing and created a four way communication link between Ramsdens and the lender. It would have been better if they had simply done the chasing/communicating of outstanding issues themselves. The other negative was that they made a few mistakes on their calculations twice and so we were asked for more money. This felt a bit sloppy on their part and it would have been better if they'd perhaps paid a bit more attention in the first place. Overall, they were approachable, friendly and got the job done. But I felt they were a bit slow at times owing to the fact that they didn't chase issues up and were happy simply waiting until prompted/pushed.

Calm professionalism

I recently used Ramsdens to sell, and purchase a house. There is no escaping the fact that the experience is stressful, being at the mercy of other solicitors and agents, but Sarah Harrop (Holmfirth) was a sea of calm professionalism in a tempest of incompetence. She responded to every email and telephone message promptly, and kept me informed at every stage. Thank you.

We were recommended to Ramsdens by our estate agent (Ryder & Dutton). We had a very smooth sale and a bumpy road to our purchase however Stacy Carr and her team (Rebecca - assistant and Amy - secretary) have been absolutely fab. Very prompt responses to our emails and when we needed quick advice then Stacy was available to take our phone calls straightaway and give us the professional advice we needed. We have been kept regularly updated with progress and when we finally found the right house it was a very smooth purchase and we completed really quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Professional Service - Highly Recommended

Diana Walker and her team at Ramsden’s Holmfirth provided a fantastic conveyancing service; they were proactive and regularly communicated with us and provided meaningful updates quickly and efficiently whenever I needed them. The portal was kept up to date and even with the protracted timescales incurred for searches/mortgages/lender queries in the Covid climate, we completed within 11 weeks. Diana went a step above and regularly provided updates on evenings and weekends - thank you.
