I can't really fault Hart Brown's service (which also involved lease writing as well as standard conveyancing). As far as I can remember, all my emails (my normal means of communication) were always dealt with in a timely manner, and, when someone relevant at Hart Brown was away, I was duly informed and/or had someone else deal with the immediate matter in their place. On the few occasions I visited Hart Brown offices I was always dealt with courteously and pretty punctually with regard to any agreed appointment time. There were unexpected and unreasonable delays in the sale process (beyond that due to my own holidays) but my impression is that these delays were always due to the other side's solicitor not being on the ball, like asking the same questions again, and asking for last-minute extra things that he or she could have asked for much earlier. Hart Brown kept me well-informed on the progress of selling my flat (which had been vacant since the last tenant departed in early February 2024). Hart Brown's fees have come to roughly what they said in advance that they would be. (I've no idea how they compare with what anyone else might have charged, as Hart Brown were also convenient for visiting on foot, being about 12 minutes' walk from home!)
