Julie is a caring, dedicated compassionate solicitor who puts her clients welfare first.
She is approachable and really listens to what her client has to say. Everything is set out in easily understandable terms, communication skills are excellent and work is carried out extremely quickly, giving peace of mind and helps build a very good trusting relationship. Nishi may seem communicative — replying to emails and offering updates — but don’t be fooled. Over the course of nearly five months, what should’ve been a straightforward process was dragged out endlessly due to her complete lack of urgency and poor grasp of key details.
Most damning of all, she missed the SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) deadline, which resulted in a financial penalty — an entirely avoidable mistake. This happened because she only flagged the existence of a rent charge halfway through the process, despite it being clearly disclosed from the outset. It was a basic oversight with real consequences.
Throughout, I was repeatedly told things were progressing, but in truth, nothing was being done properly. I felt misled, frustrated, and ultimately out of pocket — all due to her negligence.
If you value competence, accountability, or even just someone who can meet deadlines, look elsewhere. This was an exhausting and costly experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

We used Suzi Cotterill at Nelsons Solicitors to deal with the sale of our property. The sale was very protracted and the buyers and their solicitors were a nightmare throughout the process. Suzi was great, she responded to our calls and emails immediately, she was always on top of where we were with things and made a very difficult sale much easier than it could have been. I would definitely recommend Suzi to anyone wanting a Solicitor who cares and is on top of everything.
