This is the 3rd time I have used Blanchards and again I was delighted with the service I got. Rheanna Penfold dealt with my conveyance and was professional, efficient and knowledgeable throughout. If she wasn't in the office other members of staff were helpful and I felt I was in safe hands all the time. It seems that my experience is not the norm as conveyancing seems to be getting increasingly slow and disappointing. I wouldn't hesitate to use Blanchards and Rheanna again

1. Very poor communication on a property transaction. We always had to take the initiative to find out if any progress had been made.

2. Required amendments to a will due to change of circumstances. Initial response slow, satisfactory after the reason for the urgency had become clear.

I needed several legal things that needed tackling, so having used Blanchard Bailey in the past I looked first at the Shaftesbury Office. It was a surprise and disappointment to me to find that I had to deal with the Blandford office, but I did decide to go ahead. My only comment on the services received is disappointment that I couldn’t complete my business more locally. However, I did find everyone that I did deal with, especially my lawyer Emma Needham, very professional, professional and pleasant and I am grateful that I was not pressured as I did need time to consider things.

I was recently purchasing a new home and was so pleased to be able to find Sarah Trickey at Blanchards Bailey. Sarah had previously acted as conveyancer for me but had moved from the previous company. Her no nonsense attitude, sense of humour and professional manner made my house move so much easier and the price was right too! A very disappointing service from the Probate department - not sure if it was a case of too many clients or a culture within the company - it felt like our file would come to the top every couple of weeks, one task would be done (or just considered) and back to the bottom of the pile it went. Only when a formal complaint was submitted did any concerted action happen. This laidback approach wouldn't work in any other profession. The management needs to look at how Probate applications are processed, with weekly checks and updates for all clients.
