Tessa was fantastic. I found myself in a position where I'd need to be moved in from 'Offer Accepted' to 'Completion' within five weeks. It was a tall ask, but Tessa enabled this to happen, saving my child and I being homeless. She was responsive, professional and, most of all, completely thorough enabling a safe purchase of my first home. The team didn't let the ball drop once. It was a pleasure doing business with Blanchards Bailey. They have been professional, empathetic and very considerate to our unusual needs. Due to having Power of Attorney, I was dealing with the sale of my mothers property from Belgium during the Covid pandemic, which wasn’t easy.

Sarah had previously acted as conveyancer for me but had moved from the previous company. Her no nonsense attitude, sense of humour and professional manner made my house move so much easier and the price was right too! I rang up to arrange an appointment to witness filing in a specific form. Was told no problems. Went to the appointment only to be told that they do not offer this service. Not sure why this wasn't made clear on the phone call before the appointment, waste of time. I had to take time off work.

A very disappointing service from the Probate department - not sure if it was a case of too many clients or a culture within the company - it felt like our file would come to the top every couple of weeks, one task would be done (or just considered) and back to the bottom of the pile it went. Only when a formal complaint was submitted did any concerted action happen. This laidback approach wouldn't work in any other profession. The management needs to look at how Probate applications are processed, with weekly checks and updates for all clients.
