A challenging purchase !

Charlotte and the them at Seaton offered and delivered a first class service . The sell of our property and purchase of our new home was completed under the care of this team .
The purchase posed many challenges (sorry!!). We were kept informed throughout and solutions discussed. Emails and telephone calls were quickly answered.

I was selling a holiday flat in ,Devon,which ultimately took nearly 2 years to sell.I was recommended Everys Solicitors by Hillsdon /Pioneer Cottages Management company…and during that time I was SO impressed with the professionalism,help,advice and patience from the staff at Everys in Seaton….Charlotte Barnacle and Patricia Lenn were absolutely excellent.I never actually spoke to Charlotte,but had excellent advice and help via email contact.Patricia Lenn,however,had to put up with numerous questions from me,and she was consistently patient and helpful.
I think Everys should be extremely proud and pleased to have Charlotte and Patricia working in their firm.

One star is too much!

I have bought / sold over a dozen properties in a handful of different countries and I have NEVER come across a company this awkward to deal with! I have paid nearly one thousand pounds for Everys to answer a few questions on a freehold, they have been hard to contact, short in their responses. Ten months on I still do not have answers to the questions they quoted me and I paid them to answer and have refused to provide any further information or refund me. My sale is falling through as a result and I will be back to square one only with no potential buyer lined up. Thanks for nothing! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to Jo Barrett Conveyancer for selling an investment property we had in the North of the Country. This should have been just a simple sale of one property however the "Leasing Agents" were to say the least "difficult" and it required the Tenacity and Effort from Jo Barrett to make the sale go through. The sale started in April and was finally completed following November we really thought the Buyers would pull out but Jo Barrett kept the Buyers onside and finally we completed. We think a less than tenacious person like Jo would have lost the sale for us. Our compliments Jo Barrett your skills showed greatly.

Wow - what a team!

Thank you so much to Charlotte Barnacle and Georgina Gabb for their amazing perseverance, patience, guidance and professionalism throughout a very stressful sale.

We had some very difficult potential buyers initially who in the end we walked away from. We then found another buyer for our property and the team were just fantastic.

I couldn't recommend Charlotte enough and will forever be grateful for all the hard work both ladies put in for us.

I reached out to Everys for potential legal assistance with a property matter. I was pointed to a specific solicitor and the initial contacts were very positive and responsive.

Then... silence.

I acted in good faith to engage with this firm and responded, I believe, promptly. A fee was stated and I agreed immediately. Thereafter I have heard nothing. I have tried to follow up with the email addresses of the solicitor concerned and their secretary but, as stated, no response.

I have no issue if someone does not wish to take on my case. What irks me is that I have waited, politely and patiently, for a response - indeed any response - for over a month, which is lost time against my claim.

I am happy to revise this review in the event that the firm concerned elects to contact me to explain where I have been wrong in this process. Otherwise... moving on.

EDIT

The firm concerned did reach out and have
apologised for having not responded. They suggested this was because the person concerned and their secretary both went on holiday. Their words, not mine.

I recently sold my property with Everys solicitors in Seaton, and I cannot recommend the team enough. I haven't sold a property before on my own and Patricia kept me up-to-date on the process and what to expect and from whom. She really was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Charlotte was my acting solicitor and was so professional and efficient, she was a step ahead on everything when the buyers solicitor was holding things up. They worked so hard to get my sale of my flat through as quickly as was possible. Myself and family will definitely being using them again in the future.
