I’ve never dealt with Thorntons Solicitors but was recommended them and thought we would give them a try for our house move.
Historically I’ve always found solicitors hard work by being difficult to get in contact with and generally having no sense of urgency when required.
Right from the outset I was impressed with how organised and thorough Alison was clearly outlining the process and what needed to be done.
Not only did she explain the process in a clear and concise way which I find a lot of solicitors don’t she was very efficient. If we had any queries she was quick to respond.
The Thorntons solicitors app I also found to be useful as it clearly shows you at a glance a timeline of how things are progressing to the point of completion.
Alison was always very prompt responding to emails and keeping us informed of everything even if it was an update to say I’m still chasing things which again made a difference.
She gave us the impression we were her only client which is a skill in itself as I’m pretty confident she will have had a high workload herself.
If you want a highly effective solicitors who keep you informed every step of the way then look no further is my advice.

It took us three buyers before our sale went through and over 9 months but Rachele supported throughout the process.
Communication was clear and we could use the App to see where the process was up to.
The final bill was as expected and we were happy with the service received. The conveyancing process was the only element that was hassle free so that was much appreciated.
We also benefited from there being an office local to us so we could easily drop off or return documents.

The way Stacey handled the prolonged process of my compensation claim, keeping in contact throughout, promptly answering any question while providing regular updates has been greatly appreciated and a refreshing level of customer service to receive.
I am not easily impressed, but Stacey surpassed my expectations, which far too often outreach reality. Tentative, knowledgable and professional, while consistently going above and beyond, it is without doubt she is an absolute credit to the firm and industry - a true rising star who with clear passion and care for what she does no doubt has a fantastic career ahead of her.

Myself and my partner used Thornton Jones when we recently bought our first home. We didn’t know anything about buying a property but the ladies at Thornton Jones in Garforth made everything super easy to understand. They worked very quickly, efficiently, explained everything in simple terms so we could understand. Any questions we had I was able to pick up the phone or send an email in confidence, knowing I’d have an answer back by the end of that day. The process never felt stressful or overwhelming.
I’ve recommended Thornton Jones to two of my friends who are also looking to buy their first home, once of which has contacted them already.

We are close to completing on the sale of a house and Clare and her team have been fabulous. Jess who has been our main point of contact has been worth her weight in gold. The solicitors acting for our buyer have not been too great but due to Jess constantly chasing and being one step ahead, she's made what should be a very stressful process relatively pain free. Thornton Jones also use a great app so you can see the stages throughout the process. These are 100% the solicitors you should use, you wont get any better.

Sam and the team at the Garforth office have done an amazing job of handling the conveyancing for a sale earlier in the year and more recently a purchase.
We only needed to visit the office once (and that was due to a requirement of our mortgage lender) - everything else was done via email, post and phone.
Regular updates via email and able to track via an app too. All questions answered and very friendly service from everyone at Thornton Jones.
Possibly not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for.
Would highly recommend.

Downfall was chopping and changing with who was looking after our case, holiday and maternity leave is unavoidable but it was slightly frustrating being passed to another person on a Friday to then he passed to another person on the Wednesday due to more annual leave; some better diary management and organisation would be the only recommendation.
