Probate Performance
We employed Thornton Jones to carry out the probate process for my uncle’s estate as it was not a straightforward matter. Initially we were unhappy with the service as the appointed case solicitor left the firm and the replacement was also not able to give sufficient time/attention to the matter. However, following our complaint, Liz Fyfe took charge of the case and from then on we were very pleased with how things were handled and the eventual outcome. Liz gave very clear and wise counsel, always ensuring we were aware of possible consequences of the decisions we made. In addition, she and her assistant Ellie, were always approachable, helpful and friendly. They made a difficult and stressful period much more manageable.

Beyond comparison
Liz has now done two major jobs for my family and what should have been stressful, time consumming and complicated was made simple, enjoyable and easy. Liz and her team are that rare breed that combine professionalism and compassion. They understand what you require even when it is not straight forward, but make it look so. I wholeheartedly encourage to search out Liz and her team as you will not be disappointed and they do not fill you full of empty promises.

Exemplary service
Setting the performance and legal aspects aside, I found dealing with Liz Fyfe and her team (Michelle Hitch, Ellie Brown, Janet Clapham and Melita Roberts) a trouble free and pleasant experience. It has been a difficult year for all professions but Thornton Jones managed to deliver the required result without any significant time delays. I do apologise for not being able to offer any constructive criticism or ways to improve the service but there were no problems or issues on which to base them.
Overall I was very impressed and would not hesitate recommending Thornton Jones to family and friends.

Supportive, Friendly, service
27 years of marrige saw me going to the solicitors a broken woman with no self-esteem. Shelly Wales, Stacey Higgs, Liz and the reception team, helped and guided me through a difficult divorce. A kind word, no judgements and frank conersations got me through the difficult and sometimes unpleasant moments that I was enduring. Excellent work carried out very professionally.
I can not praise enough the high standard of work undertaken by Thornton Jones. The matters were very complex however they took it all in there stride and produced a high quality result. At all times they were proficient, diligent and very friendly and I would recommend them as a first port of call for any legal matter.
