Very unprofessional with one too many important mistakes made.

Unfortunately I do not believe I had a good experience. I was having to continually contact the solicitors for regular updates only to receive a reply up to a week later. Mistakes were made firstly with the terms of lease contract which I had to point out to be amended. There was a mistake made on the completion statement twice which again i had to point out to be amended. Overall I believe the process took far longer than it should’ve without the guidance and support as a first time buyer. The solictors were always pleasant to speak to and never rude but unfortunately too many mistakes were made.

Its never easy dealing with a claim related to a deceased loved one. We were full of trepidation at the prospect but felt we should proceed, not only to honour my father but also to secure what ever financial security we could for my elderly mother after his death.

My father was exposed to asbestos in the 1950's as a young factory worker. It wasn't until he was in his 80's that he started to experience symptoms. As a family, we rallied around to make his remaining time as good as possible, however, Mesothelioma finally took him from us.

It was a year after his passing we decided to seek answers and initiate a claim against my father's former employer. I must say, having approached a number of legal firms who clearly were either not willing or unable to represent us, it was such a relief to finally speak to someone who not only understood the complexities of such cases but also had a clear track record of success in this specialised area of law.

Ian Rees and his team were exellent from the very outset. In my dealings with them, I felt they put us as a family 'front & centre' and that our thoughts and grief were accomodated and repected. We were never rushed and were always given time to reflect on and digest information in our own time. Documents and detailed information were clearly presented making it easier for us to understand. Ian helped us to navigate the process with sensitivity and compassion with open lines of comunication and helpful expert advice. If you are searching for a solicitor to progress your claim, I cannot recommend Ian Rees, his team and JCP enough. They suceeded for us for which we are truly grateful.

Unfortunately quite disappointed with the service provided, slow to get through process, not kept updated as expected, had to chase up myself several times. Was not given advice as would be expected when making a purchase of a property. Communication not as expected. Asked to either make a payment at a much later date as incorrect bill sent initially and complete documents later as not sent initially.

Incredible support and outcome

A year ago I suffered a bereavement and as an outcome an incredibly difficult and complex legal situation. Sally Milliner from JCP was absolutely outstanding. She was calm, professional and highly empathetic towards me and gave me confidence that we could get to a positive outcome.
