My grandmother appointed JCP as the executors of her will. She passed away in June 23.
I met with Tracy and I gave her all of the required paperwork
The whole process from initial contact to closure has taken 18 months.
Tracy was a pleasure to deal with, very efficient and thorough, she answered numerous mails in a timely manner.
Tracy always enquired after family members.
Tracy had to deal with 3 beneficiaries and a sale of a house which was not straight forward.
I enjoyed working with Tracy, she was caring as well as efficient which helps when dealing with the impersonal business of death.

I cannot recommend Cherrie Powell enough as a legal Adviser. Not only is she a consummate professional in every aspect of her role, she is a genuinely compassionate, kind and incredibly supportive human being. I am 80 years old and have recently had to put my wife of 55 years, who suffers with stage 3 dementia into a care home, specialising in dementia care. Cherrie’s warmth and empathy at such a difficult time in my life helped the process of rewriting my will manageable, she was extremely patient and understanding and nothing was too much trouble. When it comes to our financial affairs we always want to be in the hands of the best but to have that and also be treated with such care, is what makes Cherrie No 1, in what she does. Thank you Cherrie, I would have no hesitation in recommending you and your company.

Cherrie assisted my wife and I with preparing our Mirror Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorneys. She provided a clear overview of the process and associated costs upfront, which made it easier for us to decide to proceed. Her guidance and advice were exceptionally thorough, delivered in a friendly and unhurried manner. Cherrie took the time to understand our needs, offering alternative options and detailed information on topics such as Property Trusts and inheritance tax (IHT) considerations. Following our discussion, she provided written follow-ups that highlighted key points requiring decisions, ensuring we were well-informed throughout the process. I spoke with Joshua (Client Engagement Assistant) who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional in assisting with initial enquiries about a non-standard property purchase we were making. Joshua got back to me promptly with answers to specific questions I had, and provided support which was extremely appreciated at a very stressful time for us. Had we gone ahead with the property purchase, I would have had no hesitation instructing JCP to undertake the conveyancing.

I was very pleased with the expert and friendly service received from Cherrie when re-writing my Will.

Cherrie first helped my family with legal matters after my father died and then more recently when I set up a Power of Attorney for myself.
There was a five year gap between seeing Cherrie again yet she made it feel like it was no time at all as she fully remembered my family and made it such a positive experience at what was an upsetting time.
I have full confidence and trust in her legal advice and know it will be provided in a professional and empathetic manner.

Couldn't have been better.

Right from the moment we met, Cherrie made me feel at ease. She was both the consummate professional and very friendly as she guided me through the process and explained everything in perfect detail to me. Legal aspect of my interactions were fine, solicitors take ages because there's always another solicitor on the other end who is slow.
Other aspects however..
They will request you to drive to their office in Caerphilly, because there are no client rooms in Cardiff (not as if these were salubrious though, I could have just signed a piece of paper in the foyer in Cardiff for the same level of comfort) not only is this out of the way, they will charge you for the privilege. Perhaps pen ink is expensive? I didn't get to keep the biro either.
When you are finished and pay your final bill, you should expect to receive threats of interest for overdue payments they have added onto your account 5-6 months after the fact.
