Samuel Philips First Class Service

As a supporter of St Oswald's Hospice, I approached them to recommend a solicitor for us, as our circumstances had changed. St Oswald's were more than happy to help and recommended Samuel Phillips Law. We had a wonderful response from them and a home visit was quickly arranged for us, as my husband has mobility issues. We were introduced to Felicity Nelson who was approachable and friendly, with straightforward clear advice, she was a pleasure to work with. Samuel Phillips were excellent from start to finish and we could not recommend them highly enough.

Contacted Peter about Dad's Will and Power of Attorney. He came and seen Dad at home and had it sorted within 10 days. Was very impressed how quick it was done, after Dad passed away I contacted Peter to sort Will out and Probate. Was again this was all sorted quickly. Peter is now dealing with the sale of my Dad's house.
I would highly recommend this company for their good service.

We used Samuel Phillips for the conveyancing of our house, and communication was below what we expected. After a few weeks without any email, I called them for them to tell me they didn't receive anything. The contact email address provided on the quote was apparently the head of department address and we should've sent documents to another one (that we had to guess ourselves?).

After a bumpy start, I have to say it was pretty efficient (hence why 3 stars and not 1), but still had to call to get any emails or any updates.

It's a real shame the house sale fell through: they were getting faster and faster, and better at sending emails. So efficient indeed that we received the (not so cheap for what was done) bill in exactly 7 minutes!

I wouldn't recommend if you are unfamiliar with the process of buying a house or if you don't have time to call them to get things moving; but I can't honestly say they were useless either.

Just sold a property which turned into a challenge with numerous problems with the buyers, their mortgage and the Lease of the building, but Samuel Phillips managed to still complete the sale. Would use again and recommend.
