I cannot praise or thank Savannah enough. I was in a right pickle - really up against it in terms of sorting a charge on a property with the clock ticking. At each step, Savannah was there, ensuring nothing slipped thru the gaps between each stage. She expedited things throughout-it couldn’t have got done any faster. She replied very swiftly to all of my emails. In addition, because the property issue I had involved my sister who lives down south, it was more complicated. To cut a long story short, Savannah saved us £400 + VAT which a solicitor down south was going to charge us for a relatively straightforward transaction. Savannah stepped in and made further arrangements at the same time this also supported my sister who is a carer for her two autistic boys and was finding it a struggle to get to the other solicitor’s offices. So I am definitely going back to Savannah and Samuel Beckett. My kind of law firm.

A compassionate, dedicated and efficient solicitor

Beth has been outstanding in a challenging divorce case. There have been complex components to break down and deal with. Beth has clearly navigated me through the divorce process, showing genuine compassion at times when necessary. Beth listened to what was required and showed patience during her practise. We used Samuel Phillips for the conveyancing of our house, and communication was below what we expected. After a few weeks without any email, I called them for them to tell me they didn't receive anything. The contact email address provided on the quote was apparently the head of department address and we should've sent documents to another one (that we had to guess ourselves?).

After a bumpy start, I have to say it was pretty efficient (hence why 3 stars and not 1), but still had to call to get any emails or any updates.

It's a real shame the house sale fell through: they were getting faster and faster, and better at sending emails. So efficient indeed that we received the (not so cheap for what was done) bill in exactly 7 minutes!

I wouldn't recommend if you are unfamiliar with the process of buying a house or if you don't have time to call them to get things moving; but I can't honestly say they were useless either.

Just sold a property which turned into a challenge with numerous problems with the buyers, their mortgage and the Lease of the building, but Samuel Phillips managed to still complete the sale. Would use again and recommend.
