Amazing! 100% recommended

My husband and I are so grateful to have had Ajesh throughout our purchase process, he was simply amazing! Throughout the process, he was always one step ahead, and would communicate every single detail to us. As an international buyer, I didn't really know much about the process, so I had lots of questions that Ajesh always kindly answered. We felt supported throughout the process, and we don't think we could have completed in time if we hadn't had Ajesh with us. We are so happy to have accepted our agent's recommendation to hire Ajesh!

Thank you Leah

Thank you Leah Swindlehurst!
We reached out to Setfords when looking at buying a house in Durham in August 2024. We had so many questions a we lived in Scotland and had no idea of the differences of buying a house in England vs Scotland. Setfords quickly paired us up with a phenomenal solicitor - Leah Swindlehurst. Leah had the dis-pleasure of battling a 7 month house purchase on our behalf but she was never anything but professional, helpful and empathetic towards us. The specifics are not important, but the fact that Leah stuck through this with us and helped us achieve the impossible (it seemed) is nothing short of amazing.
Leah continued to fight our case with the other party that seemed to just ignore all requests to an almost comical level and we can now sit happily in our new home, and that is all down to Leah.
We honestly cannot thank Leah enough for her help, both emotionally and with the purchase.
She is an asset to Setfords and they are lucky to have her.
Thank you again
Keiron and Michaela

Will writing

I needed to make a will urgently and Susanne was wonderful. She made time for a remote call on the same day of my enquiry and was extremely efficient and dedicated in writing the will - even working on it over the weekend - and ensuring everything was signed and completed. I was very impressed by and grateful for Susanne's work.

OUTSTANDING SOLICITORS

Absolutely brilliant service from Setfords! I had the pleasure of working with Caroline and Ray during the sale of my flat and purchase of a new one, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for better solicitors. They were professional, efficient, and incredibly proactive, ensuring that everything moved along smoothly without delays. What really stood out was their attention to detail and their willingness to go the extra mile. They always kept me informed, making the whole process much less stressful. I am beyond grateful for their hard work and dedication. If you’re looking for top-tier legal support when buying or selling a property, I HIGHLY recommend them!

Excellent

I have used setfords on many occasions for house sales but when I wanted a solicitor for probate I contacted setfords and got Sophie contact details, from our first phonecall to the last date of completion I couldn’t of been happier with the service I received, Sophie was always on first hand to answer any questions or queries I had and she answered in such a way it was clear and detailed, I would recommend setfords solicitors for many reasons but there professionalism and services are exceptional

First time buyer's journey made smooth

Kristine was a perfect choice for me as a first time buyer - super responsive (both via emial and phone), willing to take as much time as needed to explain each step and all requirements. All communications were clear and professional and talking to Kristine is a pleasure, as she is always kind and patient. She is also very dilligent and efficient - we managed to complete well within agreed timeline. I can absolutely recommend Kristine!

Cannot fault the service we received from Matt Conroy at Setfords. As first time buyers Matt answered a lot of (silly?!) questions from us with patience and plain English language, and good humour. He was timely in his responses and easy to get hold of. We’re very grateful to Matt for getting us through this process in the timeframe we needed.

About this branch

Description

As well as a team of full-time lawyers based in our Guildford office we have over 400 consultant lawyers based both locally and across the UK. Each one is supported by a 130-strong central team. It means they are empowered and free to work in a more effective way. When you employ one of them to deliver legal services that is who will deal with your case from start to finish – you won’t be handed off to a junior member of staff. And because we aren’t housing all of our lawyers in one place, our costs are lower, which means you get that expert advice at a more competitive price than you might expect to pay at a traditional firm.
