The practice was originally formed in 1988 and was known as Michael Stephenson & Co. A subsequent partnership with Mark Fairweather from Leiston gave rise to the firm of Fairweather Stephenson & Co which the current Managing Director, Patrick Cooney, joined in 1995. The practice has operated from its premises in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe for many years and continues to increase its client base under the new name of Fairstep Solicitors. We undertake many different areas of legal work, which can be found on our services page, together with particulars of our hardworking team. Terrible experience would never use again

They got my partner's name wrong on the land tite document that I had to point out and got another name wrong and values of money wrong in the past also. I have recommended people to not use them. We used them buying our first house and they were good so my partner used them for her father pasting away and they made mistakes but she wanted to use them again for buying and selling our house and they messed up again.

I would recommend Fairstep Solicitors because they are very professional, competent and also approachable. The recent sale of my house was a painless, smooth and calm process with them. Quality of their service was satisfactory and adequate. However, when staff are on leave or on their non-working day there seems to drop off in communications and trying to receive information and/or get answers is very challenging. Often I would chase other staff members and/or the reception and make no progress. I would have to wait until the employee returned to work which slowed down the process and at times became stressful.
