House sale

Initially we had very poor service from our allocated solicitor. Sale fell through (nothing to do with her). Spoke with senior partner after complaining about her and he understood and assured us he would take over when we sold again.
When we sold again, Laura Middleton looked after us and handled everything in a very professional manner. Her communication was excellent as well as her determination to get the task completed. As a result of Laura’s service we would use Gould & Swayne in the future and would highly recommend Laura.

Conveyancing for sale of my parents house

Gould and Swayne have been extremely helpful and efficient from my initial phone call through to the sale of my parents house. The ability to drop off required paperwork and to call in to sign documents in person made the whole process faster and more secure as I did not need to post anything. They were always on hand to answer my queries by email and phone call and excellent at concluding the sale at very short notice from the buyer of a wish to complete.
I would recommend this firm highly and plan to use them again in the future.

Excellent Conveyancing Experience

This was a probate sale of a house in Glastonbury, for which I was executor. The house was in Glastonbury, but I live in Warwickshire, so there was an extra challenge related to the distance.
Fortunately, the team at the Street office of Gould and Swayne, consisting of; Michelle Taylor, Senior Residential Conveyancer, Jackie Ford the Case Manager, and legal assistants Emma Hardy, Sarah Brian and Jade Smith, were all excellent throughout the process, and facilitated the selling process with great efficiency.
A clear quote was provided for the conveyancing service, and this was fully honoured, representing excellent value for money in my opinion. Fortunately we were able to complete the sale with the first prospective buyer to make an acceptable offer, no doubt significantly due to the professional and prompt manner in which queries were relayed to me and thus could be dealt with rapidly. I was kept fully informed of progress on the sale throughout the process, and was particularly impressed by how the team members stepped in rapidly for each other if a colleague was on leave, ensuring continuity.
The final paperwork, following completion, and including from the Estate Agent, was dealt with promptly. My experience of this company and the solicitors involved was a very positive one, and I would be happy to recommend them to others.

The property took a while to sale due to a hiccup in the chain.
The solicitor was very patient and was organised and ready to proceed once a completion date was agreed.

Excellent service.

I have used Gould & Swayne to purchase a business and to sell a property over the last few years. The service has been excellent on both occasions - great communication, reasonable fees and invaluable advice.

Sale of apartment

Unfortunately, deaths within the family meant this sale was delayed and perhaps more complicated than it could have been. The people I've been in contact with at Gould and Swayne have been friendly and attentive (special mention to the lovely receptionist at the Street branch - sorry for not knowing your name!) and made it as smooth as it could be, I think.
It hasn't been an easy time and I'm still not sure I understand everything about the strange lease agreement my parents had signed but this certainly isn't your fault and in comparison to all the other charges involved, you have definitely been good value for money - Thank you

Requested review by solicitor on completion

Very difficult as had mixed experience. I would have liked direct contact with the solicitor in the beginning of the transaction.. I felt quite unimportant as a client.. she was an invisible entity but her assistant was really helpful.. and then solicitor helped too.
I feel special mention must be made of the Accounts gentleman in Glastonbury who went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out with bank issues. He, LITERALLY, stopped me from falling apart. Thank you.

We used Gould & Swayne for selling/buying and cannot fault Hollie and Jackie for being so efficient and helpful. Considering this was during the peak of the covid busy period and having to wait for probate, we were kept in the loop at all times and had responses to any questions in a timely manner. I would 100% recommend Hollie and the team to anyone looking to sell/buy as they made the process easy and as stress free as possible.

As a single, first time buyer I was nervous and apprehensive towards buying my first house. I cannot fault my solicitor Hollie Burns. She was absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond to make this experience very easy. Any questions or queries I had about any part of the process Hollie was able to answer them. I have since recommended her to many of my friends who have said exactly the same. If I need a solicitor again I know exactly who I’ll be going with. Thank you for everything Hollie!

I would recommend their conveyancing services. I have used Hollie Bailey and her team Grant and Jackie for two purchases now. Both of which have had very tight schedules to achieve. Both of which have been achieved.

The team work efficiently and effectively even with problematic purchases and I have been impressed with their service. I will be using them again for a 3rd transaction shortly. There were a couple of minor technical & admin issues due to the circumstances of the sale/purchase which were incredibly quickly rectified and finalised with no issue. Over all a very effective and positive service, process and team who have always delivered on my stringent timeline and their commitments.
