Review of my Solicitor

I am very happy with the service I received from Karen Miller and support staff. From my initial interaction with Wollens I felt confident of becoming a valued client. This was reinforced by meeting Karen and through correspondence with her and her secretary.

Settlement settled with ease

I can't thank Wollens' Jon Dunkley enough, for the calm, kind and honest advice during my redundancy. Everything was set out plainly, with my options spelled out clearly and the potential outcomes laid out so that it was made very easy to reach a conclusion. Thank you

conveyancing for sale of London property

The efficient service provided ensured the flat was sold within a very tight time frame made somewhat complicated by the extraneous requirements made by the buyers solicitor. The timely response by both conveyancing solicitor and his assistant were very much appreciated. Both offered considerable guidance in a somewhat stressful situation.

Declaration of Trust and my Will

This Declaration of Trust was complicated (in my view!) and we were very grateful that Karen Miller was able to prepare it and deliver it for all my family.
Likewise, my Will had to be renewed and I feel much relieved that both important documents have now been secured.
I have, at my age, been aware of acquaintances and family having had difficult experiences with solicitors, and I would like to state that Karen and her team have been extremely professional and helpful throughout. Also, I have had years of legal help from Wollens, which has always been excellent, and I would highly recommend their services. Thank you Karen and all! SP

Maternity Discrimination Case

Unfortunately, I was put into a very stressful and difficult position being made unfairly redundant at 34 weeks pregnant. Jon was absolutely fantastic throughout, knowledgeable, patient and unwaveringly kind. He made the experience bearable and supported us to get a better outcome, thus enabling us to start parenthood on a more stable financial footing. An exceptional asset to Wollens and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Overall I am happy with the service I experienced using Wollens.

Chloe did a great job in responding to my communications in a timely manner and was always very polite and helpful in explaining the process and expectations on my part.

As a first-time buyer, I appreciated the clear and concise communication at all stages.

Some documents contained mistakes such as references to the wrong property or name, but it was nothing that couldn't be fixed easily :)

The only thing I can think of that would improve my experience is to have more proactive status updates from Wollens to me as the client, even if nothing has changed, just a semi-regular communication to say "It's all moving along in the right direction, waiting on ... " can go a long way to putting our minds at ease, especially for first-time buyers

Overall I am happy!

We have just completed on our house sale and purchase thanks to Wollens. Judith and her team were brilliant the whole way through and even though it wasn't the easiest of sales we were kept us up to date, the team are friendly and helpful and someone was always available to talk to if we needed reassurance or help. Really pleased with the service and would recommend to anyone that is buying or selling a property. Thank you Judith!

About this branch

Description

Neither too big, nor too small – we’re perfectly formed. With nearly over 140 bright people, we think we’re a genuine alternative to much larger firms and with significantly more to offer than smaller, high street solicitors. Yet we never lose sight of what’s most important: to provide the best possible guidance in a no-nonsense, approachable and accessible way. Because no two clients are the same, we don’t paint by numbers. What is the secret formula for being a great lawyer? To actually listen to your client and take the time we need to get to the nub of the matter. It’s why getting to really know you is at the heart of our service philosophy. Because if we don’t try to understand you, how can we possibly give you the best, tailored advice? A diverse family united by a common goal. We’re from all walks of life, but we’re kindred spirits when it comes to our aim of being the complete opposite of a stereotypical lawyer. We always try to give you less waffle, more clarity and no grey areas in between. What’s more we’ll treat you as an equal – our relationship should be open and honest, built on trust and dialogue. Playing our part in our colourful community. When we’re not advising about law, we’re often helping or supporting local charities, good causes or community projects and events. By getting widely involved with the colourful melting pot that is our community and, hopefully, enriching the lives of others, the reward is that we’ll be enriched too. Helping our clients, gaining recognition from our peers. Doing the best for our clients will always be our driving force, but we’re also pretty proud of our haul of industry awards over the years – such as winning the top prize for Excellence in Private Client Practice at the Law Society’s Excellence Awards and Law Firm of the Year at the Devon and Somerset Law Society Legal Awards.
