Some aspects excellent but wouldn't use again
All communications with the staff were warm , friendly and professional. And they always responded to my emails/phone calls in a timely manner. In that respect they were excellent. However I was disappointed to find I wasn't actually engaging a local solicitor. I chose Coodes because there was an office in Falmouth (and the good reviews). I wanted to be able to pop into the local office to hand deliver important documents however it transpired I couldn't do this and had to travel to St Austell (didn't trust the post). It was my fault that I didn't check this before going ahead as had I known this, I wouldn't have chosen Coodes.
Also, on a number of occasions I was informed I'd provided all the information required but then heard nothing for some time. When I chased things up I was told there was in fact more information that I needed to provide. I'm aware the other party's solicitor wasn't great and this probably didn't help but based on previous house buying/selling experiences Coodes should have been more proactive. This aspect was disappointing.
