Much better than expected!
One never expects an excellent level of service from solicitors but on this occasion, having been advised to use Rudlings, which I hadn't done before, I was agreeably surprised with their efficiency and level of customer service. In this particular house selling experience, the other solicitors involved kept us waiting - we were the first to be ready and the process seemed very easy and hassle-free. I would certainly use them again.

Outstanding service and advice
I was pleased to have been recommended to Laura at Rudlings by my accountant and thank goodness I was! Laura was able to guide me through the entire process of my Will and wider estate planning for IHT. She also advised me in connection with my father's probate.
Laura was clearly very knowledgeable yet was able to explain things to me in a clear and concise manner. Her personable approach and enthusiasm for her job and client service shone through.

Ashleigh and Abbie made the whole experience easy for us, particularly as we live in Devon and the property was in Norfolk. Communication was clear and questions answered promptly. All matters dealt with promptly. Would definitely recommend.

This is the third time using Ashleigh and I'm sure it won't be the last.

VETERINARY PRACTICE SALE
We were introduced to Rudlings by an old accounting firm and we could not have had better service. Their thoroughness in quite a complicated process was first class.
Jason Sydney handled the sale including all due diligence matters and contract negotiations and Marcus Chapman handled other aspects.
We engaged Marcus again later following the sale to advise on a potential breach of contract and his advice was very helpful in persuading us not to pursue the claim.
I have said in this review that the costs were 'about right' but I didn't have an option to say that Jason's fixed price for the business sale came as a complete surprise. I have never dealt with a law firm previously that worked on a fixed price.

Ms Victoria Josif (Partner) was investigated; and found wanting, by the Legal Ombudsman following my complaint for – 1. Disclosure of confidential information to a colleague. 2. Providing a client with inaccurate information on three occasions. 3. Failure to progress a request in a timely manner. 4. Poor communications. For these failing the Legal Ombudsman recommended the firm pay compensation. The recommended compensation was increased for failing to respond to the complaint made on 29 Mar 18. A response to my complaint was received from Stephen McGrath (Partner) on 19 Sep 18, but only after a letter was sent to the firm on 14 Sep 18 by the Legal Ombudsman asking why they had not responded. I would not recommend the services of Rudlings Wakelam, especially as the three people involved in the complaint were the three partners!
