Avoid at all costs!

We have been thoroughly appalled by the incompetence, attitude, work-ethic, rudeness and lack of professionalism shown by Chantal Butters.
Quite simply, we are stunned that someone can be this poor at their job and this rude when challenged.
No idea what she does and thankfully we managed to make some progress when she was on leave and covered by colleagues who were actually competent.
Chantal seemed to spend her time writing defensive emails about her complete lack of ability, diligence and communication skills. She is error-strewn through lack of attention to detail and simple effort. A lazy, less-than- ‘solicitor’ who should be avoided at all costs.

Thank you Chantel Butters for your excellent and through service

Thomson & Bancks did a fantastic job handling the conveyancing for my recent property purchase. As it was an older property and I was buying it following a divorce, things were a little more complicated than normal. However they managed to sort everything it for a very reasonable fixed price and Chantel responded to my emails and phone calls extremely quickly. Excellent work and great service!

Property Sale and Purchase

The project was successful, so I was definitely pleased with the result, but I found the experience time consuming and frustrating. I understand that much of this may be the result of the nature of property law in this country, rather than the responsibility of the lawyers or company specifically. I certainly found them to be helpful and responsive when approached.

Excellent Service Received from Thomson & Bancks

Sarah Ingles from Thomson & Bancks provided an excellent service with the updating/re-writing of our Wills. Nothing too much trouble; was very easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. Advised where necessary. We also completed our POAs and again the service was excellent. Highly recommend Sarah and the other solicitors in this company. Excellent all round.

Excellent professional service

Amanda and her team were excellent in their handling of our sale and purchase, and were extremely helpful when the situation became stressful due to issues further up the chain. Everything felt very smoothly handled and either Amanda or on occasion Ginny would always get back to us very quickly whenever we got in touch. They made the process of selling and buying much easier, and our experience with them was light years away from our first experience of buying a home when we used a different firm. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thomson & Bancks, and Amanda in particular, and would definitely use them in future should we ever have to move again.

I have dealt with this firm of solicitors for many years now and have always found diligent, thorough and friendly. Dealings have been on a number of matters, but I have always felt kept informed at every step of the way and therefore confident that I was being treated as a valued client.

I used Tania Hall for the transfer of my property and she was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely helpful and always prompt with her responses. She also went the extra mile to ensure that a rather difficult situation went through as smoothly as possible. One of the best solicitors I have ever come across! I highly recommend her! You will be in very safe hands!
