I don't often bother with writing reviews but it can be hard to find trusty legal support. I hope this honest acknowledgement of good service and a fair outcome is useful.
Firstly, don't be fooled by the modest location of this practice. Our solicitor, Ben Stubbins, listened patiently to our needs whenever required and fought our corner professionally and without over-complicating matters.
Even though events were challenging and, at times, beyond our control, I felt we were supported with integrity throughout. Ultimately we achieved a desired outcome although it was anything but straightforward and we are very grateful for steering us through the process.
If you seek a polite, no-fuss attitude with profession graft and integrity then this is a good place to start.

An absolutely first class service from first contact and through to completion. Support and advice throughout was exceptional. Follow-up and updates on a regular basis without asking. Entire process and engagement activities was simply but equally well-explained. Timeliness and efficiencies with equally first class on all matters with responses, on most occasions within hours, sometimes within minutes. Cannot begin to think of a better firm of or Solicitor matters relating to family bereavements and probate work at fair and affordable costs. The guidance and advice was just what was needed and with minimal burdens on myself. Thoroughly thoroughly recommend the use of Shacklocks for this type of work, without any hesitation whatsoever.

Going though a divorce is an incredibly stressful experience, but was made much less so by the professional, supportive team at Shacklocks LLP in Belper.
I felt valued and understood throughout the process. Communication was always clear and timely and all advice was measured and sensible. There were no surprises when it came to costs, as the team were realistic in their quotations and billing was accurate.
I highly recommend Ben, Marcella and team to anyone looking for advice on divorce - I felt that I was in safe hands, which is exactly what I needed.

I recently used Shacklocks LLP to deal with the conveyancing around the sale and purchase of 2 properties, which involved re locating my 88 year old Mum .The conveyancing was very technical and complex. and definitely not what you would describe as "main stream ." Everything was expertly dealt with by Jordanna Smedley, of Shacklocks LLP,Mansfield. Jordanna was always a pleasure to deal with. Her communications and her ability to keep me informed of any developments in a prompt and timely manner were excellent. She was always calm, professional and gave very good advice on more than one occasion when complications and issues arose. She also very patiently explained all of the issues and developments to me.
This was a difficult and stressful time for myself and my family, Jordanna, her first class communication skills, and her overall professional but friendly manner undoubtedly made the journey a lot more bearable. Thank you
