I initially engaged the services of Abbie Pownall at Butcher & Barlow LLP for a legal matter. Throughout our engagement, I found Abbie to be very meticulous and particular in her work. She was responsive to phone calls and provided detailed updates on the progress of my case. Her attention to detail and communication skills were commendable, which I appreciated as it kept me well-informed.
However, I decided to appoint a new solicitor who was more local and with whom I felt more comfortable continuing my case. Upon notifying Abbie of this change, I requested that my case documents be transferred to my new solicitor. Despite having paid for these documents and all associated services, Abbie refused to hand them over. This refusal has caused a significant delay in the exchange process of my case, which has been extremely frustrating and inconvenient.
I believe that as a client who has fulfilled all financial obligations, I deserve to have my documents transferred promptly and without unnecessary complications. The delay caused by this refusal is something I do not deserve, and it has impacted the timely progression of my case.
I hope that Butcher & Barlow LLP takes note of this issue and ensures that such delays do not occur for other clients in the future. Professionalism and client satisfaction should always be a priority, and I am disappointed that my experience did not reflect this.
