Initial advise for matrimonial issues

Caroline could not have been more helpful. The advise she gave was not what I was expecting as regards the split of the matrimonial home, but she explained everything so I could properly understand the legal situation. She also gave me good advise as to what I need to do for the future.

Excellent Experience - would highly recommend

We really can’t recommend Tim Bailey at Butcher and Barlow enough. Tim has worked with us to pull our wills together. His advice on how to set up our memorandum of wishes, and how the wills needed to be worded to protect our inheritance for our children was invaluable. Tim was sensitive to our specific needs and really did add value to what we wanted to achieve.

I recently had a problem regarding a neighbour’s objection to the installation of a cctv system to my property. I didn’t know how to respond to this objection, I didn’t want the matter to escalate. I telephoned Butcher and Barlow who had recently done some legal work for me. The call was handled efficiently and in a professional manner - pertinent questions being asked. Mr Gary Porter promptly returned my call. Again, a profession and understanding manner with relevant questions being asked. Mr Porter suggested the best course of action I should take. I was very grateful for his advice. I had been experiencing great anxiety regarding the subject, but Mr Porter quickly allayed my fears. The matter has now been resolved successfully.

Unresponsive and ignored

So disappointed by the service we have received when dealing with this company.
We were recommended a solicitor ‘CG’ by a family friend, we contacted her in early February and dropped all our paperwork off corresponding to our issues.
She was the most positive sounding solicitor we’ve dealt with, and made us feel really good about using her and the company.
After a couple of ignored emails we spoke to her on the phone on the 5th of March where she seemed very positive in our situation, telling us we had a great case with everyone we have dealt with since our issues started nearly 3 years ago.
Since that phone call, we have been ignored, it’s now been 7 weeks with no contact at all, no emails, and ignoring all calls.
We spoke to her pa ‘SW’ on the 8th of this month and we’re told we were in her diary for the week commencing the 12th, but again we had no contact.
We rang again yesterday to ask what was going on, and was told we’d get a phone call back that day, and we’ve been igorned again.
So confused by the attitude and professionalism of this firm and wouldn’t recommend wasting your time.
