I employed BES Legal to undertake the conveyancing of my property. I found them to be extremely hard to communicate with and had emails unanswered for long periods of time. Upon transferring funds for the redemption of my old mortgage It became apparent, approximately one week after moving, the mortgage was still active and it hadn't been cleared in full. I had to inform BES Legal they had underpaid the mortgage, they didn’t even realise their error, when they did, they didn’t explain what had happened in a way I could understand and then tried to get a CCJ against me and my wife, this added immeasurably to our stress on what is an already stressful time. I was left with no alternative than to seek help through the Legal Ombudsman, who after investigation awarded compensation for their poor service we received. I regret I cannot recommend them at all.

I have no positive things to say about this solicitor practice at all. It’s been 5 months and the conveyancing has still not been completed - a sale that has no chain. The staff have been no help at all and I’m frustrated and annoyed. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this, so I would suggest you choose an alternative practice.
In 5 months I have had 2 emails. That’s it! Appalling and unprofessional.

Conveyancing is such a stressful event .I had faith in Imran from day one and he delivered within the time frame he expected and stated. He was helpful, polite and courteous. I would definitely be using him AGAIN. A thorough five star experience.

We were in a very short chain and had a really difficult solicitor in the chain. Initially, we felt as if the conveyancing wasn't moving along and weren't very happy, However, it clearly was and towards the end, Sarah could not have done more to get the chain to completion. Highly recommended.
