Mumbles Office: Professional and Friendly

I have been dealing with the Mumbles office across a range of legal services including some tricky conveyancing. The team is highly professional but also so friendly which makes it really good experience. Thanks for all your help and advice,

Michael

Incompetent jokers

Ian Walker at Peter Lynn and Partners handled our house sale and purchase. A straightforward move was made very stressful by their incompetence.
We had to constantly chase documents, searches were missed, a rude manner, not returning phone calls or emails...
Quite expensive as well.

Matrimonial matters

I turned to Peter lynn and partners after eight years of trying with another solicitors to get my divorce and financial matters organised ( with a ex spouse that would not engage)
My case was taken on by Catrin Stephens and Callum Browne. They were both excellent and got things sorted quickly and efficiently. They are both very knowledgeable and experienced in the field and also supported me during a court hearing. They were also very patient when I was having financial issues and was struggling to pay my legal fees. I will forever be grateful to them for giving me back my life. Highly recommended

Slow, unprofessional and lacks appropriate knowledge

My company and I have used Peter Lynn for some years. Conveyancing services, shareholders agreements wills. Thousands of pounds spent. Recently we instructed for a very basic house purchase. My husband is purchasing his family home. The partner Gregory George who was supposedly helping my father in law did not do any work for over 2 months despite us sending all document to him. I chased for 2 weeks to find out what was happening. Gregory George responded saying he didn't have my father in laws ID so did not do any work as per his terms. When I stated I would take my father in law to him and provide the documents, but he could have told us this weeks ago if there was a missing ID document. He became rude, actually worse than rude. He told me to pick up my documents and use another solicitor if I wanted, at no point did he apologise for taking so long. He then continued to bombard me with rude e mails, implying that we were purchasing the house illegally and avoiding money laundering checks, at no point have I refused ANY checks. My father in law was happy to come in and see the solicitor. i was shocked how rude a partner of a firm could behave. It was apparent he had become accustomed to speaking to women in a derogatory manner that he actually carried the habit through to his work. How can a partner lead a team when they speak to people like this?
Needless to say, this incident has prompted me to pull all my business from Peter Lynn. Big mistake on their part as we often purchase properties, businesses and have contract law requirements. I cannot work with a firm that does not respect and women or who cannot conduct themselves professionally .

I purchased a home last year in June with Caesar and Rhys in the Morriston office. They provided a great service and were very knowledgeable about the process! Their communication and service throughout the process was excellent. A special thank you to both, I can't recommend them enough.

Thanks Amy!

Amy assisted me and my family with various Trust, Wills and property matters. She is thorough, knowledgeable and truly seems to care. She made quite a messy scenario play out as smoothly as it could have. I am so grateful for the patience and reassurance she showed with my dad, coming up with ways to adapt to our changing family dynamic halfway through the instruction which I know wasn’t easy, even with the difficulties she was a delight. Amy is brilliant and her assistant Jan is very helpful. There was always someone there to communicate with us and answer any queries. We highly recommend and and Jan to anyone needing advice. Diolch yn fawr Amy. Dad a fi yn hapus iawn guys pethau nawr!

Purchase of Residential Property

As a first time buyer, the entire process and cost outlay was explained in detail to us by our solicitor. The possible timeline for the completion of the transaction and what might trigger delays was explained, likely findings and next steps.
The importance of a home buyer's report, covenants running on the property and securing insurance to coincide with the hand over was also pointed out. Feedback was provided timely to questions raised for the attention of the seller / seller's solicitor. It was overall a pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to recommend their services or avail myself of it again in the future.

I employed Rhian to do my conveyancing when buying a house and I emailed her about a issue with the gas certificate where the boiler onncmthe certificate was located in the wrong place and she said she was going to look into it but I haven't heard anything and the checks that she's meant to carry out was terrible. If I buy another house I wouldn't be using peter lynne after the way they've treated me by not giving me a answer on what there going to do after the certificate gives the wrong boiler make and located in the wrong area. Still no reply after me asking two weeks ago. Awful company take your money and that's it.
