Awful Solicitor - Avoid

Dealing with them in relation to probate. Absolutly awful solicitor to deal with. Cost me ££££. Service appaling, letters we received were badly written and did not answer any questions. Did not respond even when repeatedly chased. If we phoned we were told they were out and failed to get back. Save your money go somehere else

Excellent firm, fast responses. Thorough work.

I was going through a house purchase. Due to the findings of these amazingly thorough solicitors, I was able to pull out of my purchase, essentially saving myself from being scammed. If you are looking at buying a new build, I know it’s very tempting to take the offer of their recommended solicitors as it’s often cheap, but please use JGF instead. They found out that the housing company involved couldn’t even prove they owned the land that I was buying a house on. Without them knows what would have happened.

Fast and Reliable Conveyancing

From Day 1, handled my case with the utmost professionalism and candour. The staff are friendly, approachable, and have superb all-round legal knowledge. I was kept informed throughout and received top tier service at a very reasonable price. Can’t recommend this firm enough.

Dishonesty, incompetence and negligence.

Having been offered the services of one of the partners who considered his time to be worth £200.00 per hour I was expecting a professional service. Nothing could be further than the truth.
Failed to obtain valuations for all the assets of the estate. Invented several new versions of the law and only came close to getting the law right after I had paid another solicitor to explain it to them. Ignored my own instruction but was happy to accept instruction from someone who was neither a direct client nor had any legal right to be involved in the matter. Rather than distribute the estate in accordance with the will repeatedly offered less than my entitlement.
Chose to comment on the size of the estate having lost £20,000.00 form the value of it then refused to accept any responsibility for this loss. Took over a month to respond to correspondence. Sent countless unnecessary letters asking for explanations of basic English language or contradicting themselves. Transferred ownership of a property without written consent. Failed to respond to any complaints, but complained about their clients who they then expected to pay for their appalling service. Having taken over two years to complete something which should have taken four to six months it took them another month to post the final accounts when the post office is less than five minute walk from their office. Took payment for their service without checking whether I was happy with their work or the estate was actually settled to my satisfaction.
