Excellent first job

This is the first time Wake Smith has acted for the Council. It was a medium size property acquisition and leaseback. The work was done well within the timescales and we enjoyed working with Neil (Salter). We found him responsive, helpful and thorough on the legal side of things. He was also, pleasingly, keen to stick to the fee quote so far as he was able. So, while the fee was larger than quoted, the uplift was for understandable and justifiable reasons. As ever with a new legal relationship, we needed to work out a few practical matters but this was done without fuss. Neil was also proactive in contacting me to work out an internal issue at the Council's end which was affecting the flow of our instructions to him which was appreciated. All in all, we would be happy to work with Wake Smith again should the need arise.

Helpful and informative

We recently sold and purchased a property with the help of Wake Smith. Sude (our solicitors paralegal) was the voice of reason throughout and showed empathy and patience when I needed matters explaining again and again. Nothing was too much trouble and Sude’s approachable and friendly manner made a stressful time far more manageable. Thank you so much, what a credit to Wake Smith you are.

Medical Negligence claim

Kate dealt with our late mother’s medical negligence claim which has just concluded recently.
This was a complex claim, with many facets which has taken over 4 years to reach resolution.
Kate has been brilliant. She has kept us fully updated throughout, has been tenacious in chasing up the defendant when timescales were approaching, explained things to us clearly and simply and provided sound legal advice.
Kate has also been compassionate and sympathetic to our situation and handled our whole claim sensitively.
We cannot thank Kate and her team enough for helping us reach a satisfactory conclusion to what has been a really difficult time.

Lindsey, along with her support Vicky, provided exceptional service that was both professional and compassionate. Given my personal circumstances, I sought legal advice from several solicitors, and the service I received from Lindsey was by far the best. The responsiveness was also excellent. I highly recommend their services.

5* to everyone at Wake Smith who have helped me with the probate of my mum’s estate. With special thanks to Sherelle O’Brien who’s been with me throughout and given me all the help and advice I could ever need in such a sensitive time. Also thanks to the lovely reception girls who walked me down to navigate their underground car park! I’ll certainly recommend Wake Smith and use you again if I need any more advice. Many thanks again, Sally Stevenson 😊

Lindsey Canning and Victoria Walker have been amazing in sorting out a very tricky situation with my mortgage and my ex husband who was being rather difficult! Without them I would not be in the position I am today of having the situation sorted! Lindsey is so professional and kept me up to-date with every step of the process. Having tried to get this sorted several times in the past and not been able to it has been a massive relief that this has finally Bern solved!
