BG Solicitors is one of the oldest established practices in Grimsby, set up by the late Mr Tom Beetenson on 1st January 1944. He was joined in 1953 by Lawrence Gibbon and their initials still remain as the name of our firm. Thankyou for your time and advice, my time and your advice cost myself 300.00, it was myself who asked about set aside, i did ask if there was any other route , any other form /document i did mentoin a number for a document , it was the wrong number , the number for your own reference if you get asked the question is form 245, it allows the defendent to ask the judge to look at the claimants subject and reveiw , allow myself to make a affordable payment plan, this i have done , cost is 15.00 pounds, big difference to 300.00 pounds. maybe more training is required.

We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional service we received from Helen and her team during our house moves. If you are leaving money in your will to friends and relatives do not use these solicitors. Do not use them as executors.Your friends and relatives will have died before they see any legacy you have left them.A snail could move faster !

I’m writing this a few years after the traumatic experience.
Very distressing time, lack of communication
and empathy
Everything was eventually sorted, but not in the profesional way that I would have expected.
Wouldn’t use them ever again.

I've waited over a year to write this review as the experience and service from the branch in Barton impacted my mental health to such an extent.
Executors of a family members Will, it was meant to be handled by an identified partner but transferred from Grimsby to Barton. Excessive fee considering living partner collated all the information.
Wrong advice given in respect of trust money.
Slow to process the paperwork, poor communication in light of a family member contesting Will. And 'person' who was executoring Will, when monies were due to be paid, didn't return call and went on holiday!
By this point I just wanted it to end, nearly a year on, family divided and my Grandfather would have be furious and appalled at the service he had received from a family friends firm.
It was finally settled by a solicitor in the Grimsby Branch who completed it within 24 hours and appeared to understand the level of distress the experience had caused.

BG Solicitors is one of the oldest established practices in Grimsby, set up by the late Mr Tom Beetenson on 1st January 1944. He was joined in 1953 by Lawrence Gibbon and their initials still remain as the name of our firm. Since those early days, the Practice has grown steadily and is now one of the largest and most respected in the area. Our clients, both private and commercial, demand a first-class legal service, and through our commitment to quality standards throughout all areas of the practice, we ensure that’s exactly what they receive. The original BG base in Grimsby remains our largest office space, occupying a convenient central location with excellent access to public transport as well as nearby parking. In 2007 we incorporated the business and staff of Louth based Scammell & Braithwaite into BG Solicitors LLP and acquired our first satellite office. The merging of this well-respected firm into our own means that we now have a central Louth office, serving the needs of not only the local Louth clients but also those from the many surrounding villages.
