Unsurpassed professionalism!

There is no doubt you will be extremely fortunate if you are lucky enough for Amanda Frenz to work on your case! She was the perfect ambassador for Lindsays, demonstrating unsurpassed professionalism throughout, no detail omitted, always only impressive timing, extremely supportive and courteous despite the numerous demands on her. We are extremely grateful and can unhesitatingly recommend her expertise most highly!

Uncommunicative

Would not recommend. Since my late father's passing in Jan 21, my mother has been trying to attain ownership of the family home in order to sell on. She needs to as the home is too large and impractical for her due to her arthritis.

We're now nearly 2 years on and no further forward. The person that's been dealing with the case has been ignoring my emails and phone calls asking for updates. I've been informed she's been ill, which I sympathize with, but some communication would have been appreciated .

Overall I would not be using them again based on this performance, or lack thereof. It's not good enough. As a paying customer, my mother will likely eventually end up with a hefty bill due to these delays. Very unhappy.

First time buyers

Leigh Carrie at Miller Hendry helped us with the process of buying our first property. She was invaluable from start to finish, guiding us through the whole process and answering our many questions! The process went smoother than I could ever have imagined and I am so genuinely grateful for Leigh's help.

Selling a flat

It was lovely to be able to talk to Cheryl direct. She was very knowledgable and when there was a hiccough (the proposed purchaser and solicitor playing truant) Cheryl went above and beyond, working with me to find alternatives and to get the best outcome. Which we got.
I found Cheryl very understandable and easy to deal with. I felt she her complete support.
On my experience of working with Cheryl and with all the other people I came in contact with I have no problem in recommending Cheryl and Miller Hendry.

Highly recommended, professional and thorough. I cannot thank the whole team enough for their wonderful service. Dot was our first point of contact and guided us through to all the right people. The whole process could not have been smoother. Living overseas we thought we were going to face a huge headache but the team kept us up to date every step of the way. Totally satisfied and would not hesitate to use again.

From the start to the completion the support, care and attention to detail was second to none.

The home sale normally a stressful experience was handled with care and support making our lives easier.

Legal issues have become more complicated since we bought 25 years ago and we were so grateful to have experts on our side.

Thanks to all at Millar Hendry in all departments for supporting us all the way to a very successful outcome.

About this branch

Description

We’ve offered legal services in Edinburgh for more than 200 years, and our offices in the West End are less than a mile from where we first started. But the modern Lindsays has come a long way since 1815. Our solicitors offer a complete range of services to businesses, charities and private clients, and work with many of the capital’s best-known hospitality businesses, tech companies and angel investors. Our specialist lawyers in Edinburgh still uphold Lindsays’ excellent and long-standing reputation for private-client work and family law, but they also have expert colleagues dealing with twenty-first century issues such as private equity funding or renewables.
