Was disappointed with experience of selling my dad’s house as attorney. Didn’t really know who my appointed person was , passed through several people. The final person seemed to lack knowledge as I had problems with Land Registry and wasn’t prepared to enhance her knowledge either! I rang Land Registry myself after being told this was not possible and an extremely helpful person got the problem sorted within days. I twice had to contact my solicitor as my Estate Agent phoned me for update and says they couldn’t contact her. I had an email unanswered. Found her to be lacking in enthusiasm, knowledge and at times rather rude.

Poor experience overall.

From the start to the end I felt I had to continually be on the case of the solicitors. From my case manager going on leave and no one taking over the case to paperwork being dropped off and not handed to the relevant parties the whole experience left a lot to be desired.

Hatch brenner have been the family solicitors for years going back three generations now and we have all agreed we will find someone else to use. You were aware of the situation, my partner was in hospital going through chemo and still I had to phone most days to get the most basic jobs done. The final job was to transfer the money over to my account and even that was late and resulted in me having to phone twice to get it sorted.

While the staff were always polite and the reception team helpful it still does not make up for the sale dragging and a poor overall service. I think perhaps you need to look at the way cases are handled and implicate some sort of system to prevent cases and tasks being forgotten.

Went with them, turned up to the wrong court, had no idea about any ruling the judge made, forced to wait months longer ger and spent a huge amount more money despite the other party and I understanding correctly, when I questioned it I was told I needed therapy to continue and was threatened with legal action to pay the invoice for their professional negligence despite already being aware that I have disabilities, this caused me to attempt suicide and self harm of which I informed them and asked for an answer, contacted the supervisor who investigated it and told me they would respond with an update. Multiple emails to them and a year later I have been ignored. Avoid like the plague. They were aware of my mental health issues from the start and I informed them along the way of their mistakes and distress they caused to be threatened, abused and then when they realised they were wrong to then be ignored. I wish I had taken legal action against them when this all happened.

What an incredible let down. Agreed to represent us on an auction property purchase involving international buyers, and then the day after the auction dropped us on the basis that funds held in an EU account are against their internal regulation. This is despite being asked questions at the time of quote as to where the money comes from. With an auction purchase and tight timescales for completion, they have left us in an incredibly difficult position. Extremely unprofessional and uncaring - don’t use
