In good hands

We had an immensely turbulent & stressful journey selling our flat & buying our house. It took 2.5 years, 2 buyers pulling out (one extremely last-minute & after school places were secured) then with the third and final buyer, we had a very tight deadline to meet (thanks to 'Buyer 2' and their last minute withdrawal). It was terribly stressful but Mike at J&P pulled out all the stops so thankfully we met the deadline successfully and are now moved and settled. We felt totally supported and listened to by Mike along the way, but also his amazing legal assistant Chris went above and beyond for us.

Incredible service - makes buying a house as painless as possible

We are so grateful to Kavitha and her team! They worked around the clock to help us meet our completion deadline, always with outstanding commitment and professionalism. The purchase was not without it's complications and without them we are aware that we would probably have missed our deadline and the whole process would have a been a lot more stressful. Thank you to the whole team!

James RAY - J & P

As we started searching for houses, I asked around for a good covenyance solicitor. Mr James Ray was recommended by one of colleagues who I trust very well. James was very professional and amicable. He took actions based on our request promptly. My wife and I thouroughly enjoyed working with him. Please be assured when you go through this house buying journey, James will take care of it. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Solicitor - Michael Cornwall

Michael was brilliant. He handled my case from beginning to end. The sale of my purchase was not as smooth as one would have hoped, but with the guidance, Michael's diligence and his expertise, I obtained my first home this year. Although I have taken a risk in purchasing, I've not gone into it with my eyes closed, and when things became challenging, Michael was there to guide me, to challenge my thoughts, break all things down, looked at all the risks involved and considered all my options before I signed on the dotted line. What really amazed me, was Michael remained calm and collective throughout the process whilst the sellers solicitor became too emotional. This I really appreciated and respected. The communication and turn around time for responses between myself and Michael was excellent. Thank you so much Michael for everything.

Our advice is to avoid these solicitors when selling property

From start to finish the level of service, attention to detail, & communication in relation to our house sale was abysmal, with our solicitor finding ways to blame others and gaslight us for her lack of engagement, errors, and general poor service.
At each step of the sale of our property we had to chase for engagement, with emails and phone calls going unanswered. We got to the point where we had to escalate to senior partners in the firm to get any engagement and focus from our solicitor.
There was an abundance of errors and issues with contracts and documentation, from the first set of forms we received, to the contracts containing errors, the TF1 forms needing to be returned for correction (which our solicitor had signed off as correct), and the completion statement containing basic errors.
There were delays and oversights in the enquiry process that we believe delayed our exchange, and errors with the bank transfer form when we were asked to review it.
Our recommendation is to avoid - we will not be returning customers.

Fantastic and human service

Kavitha and team are exemplars in legal property conveyancing. Having had a poor experience in a prior transaction, I found Kavitha, James (our designated solicitor) and the various paralegals and staff to be a breath of fresh air. They had great expertise and experience, proactively analysing any tricky subjects, responsive to emails (never had to chase and always had a response 1-2 times working days), available for a phone call if easier to chat, and overall a human service. I think I’m a pretty reasonable customer though I do drive pace and found Kavitha and team toe to toe. Price-wise, I found them to be competitive. Not the cheapest but far from most expensive.

My only even better if is that I would have preferred a digital solution for e-sign, document management and query tracking. It was a bit paper and email based. It wouldn’t put me off from using them again however I’d have happily paid for a platform license during the transaction.

Overall a great team and have recommended to others already

Excellent service!

We bought our bungalow through Brooke at Judge and Priestley. She offered a very professional service for what was a very tricky sale - always kept in touch, followed everything through and made sure the sale completed as smoothly as possible. Both herself and her assistant Hyaah were always contactable and we never had trouble with getting hold of someone. Excellent service!

Sale and purchase of properties.

The purchase of our new property was a very difficult and long drawn out process but with Kavitha Rajah and her amazing team behind us we finally managed to get there.
I cannot recommend Kavitha highly enough. We contacted her to do our conveyancing because we had the pleasure of her professionalism in the past when she had her own office in 2013 and we knew that the process would be handled extremely professionally.
Kavitha is backed up by an amazing team of people who are not only also very professional but also extremely helpful and always pleasant.
I cannot recommend Kavitha highly enough and from personal experience I can honestly say that you will not find a better person to handle your conveyancing.
