Massive thanks from us!

Although my partner and I had a very bumpy, stressful and drawn-out property purchase, your staff in the conveyancing team were exceptional and a constant support throughout.

Louise’s friendly and attentive attitude made J&P stand out against other solicitor quotes that we received. She was consistently friendly and understanding despite us constantly facing setbacks.

Following Louise’s leave, Debbie never failed to provide excellent service, she is a credit to the team, and was always professional, friendly and efficient. Responses were prompt and direct - service was faultless.

Maria supported throughout and she also sustained a very high level of service which makes this team easy to recommend to anyone else moving home. Thanks again for making this interaction as good as possible.

Michael Cornwall - solicitor

Michael was my main point of contact throughout the process of purchasing my first property. I am so glad that I was referred to him. Michael is an excellent solicitor, and one with great knowledge, experience and professionalism.

My first purchase was not an easy purchase and one that came with complications and risk. At some point, throughout the process I was going to walk away. However, I changed my mind and Michael was there to challenge my thought process, he made me think of the pros and cons of the purchase, he advised that I look at other properties to ensure that it was the right decision that I was making before proceeding with the purchase. There were times that the sellers and their solicitor got emotional, abrupt and showed their un-professionalism as they wanted to push the sale forward as quickly as possible, but Michael remained calm and collective, maintained his professionalism, stand firm to his quality of work, his diligence, his standard of conduct throughout the process. I was able to contact Michael through the process with ease. We discussed, planned and worked a way forward at each step in the process. I was happy with the advice given by Micheal and he covered every angle that needed to covered, he answered all my concerns and questions raised before I proceeded with the purchase. Turnaround time for responses was in line with my expectations.

Overall, I could not have asked for a better experienced, skilled and professional solicitor to take me through the process of purchasing my first home. Thank you so much Michael for all your help and support.

Kind regards,

Janet

Solicitor - Michael Cornwall

Michael was brilliant. He handled my case from beginning to end. The sale of my purchase was not as smooth as one would have hoped, but with the guidance, Michael's diligence and his expertise, I obtained my first home this year. Although I have taken a risk in purchasing, I've not gone into it with my eyes closed, and when things became challenging, Michael was there to guide me, to challenge my thoughts, break all things down, looked at all the risks involved and considered all my options before I signed on the dotted line. What really amazed me, was Michael remained calm and collective throughout the process whilst the sellers solicitor became too emotional. This I really appreciated and respected. The communication and turn around time for responses between myself and Michael was excellent. Thank you so much Michael for everything.

Our advice is to avoid these solicitors when selling property

From start to finish the level of service, attention to detail, & communication in relation to our house sale was abysmal, with our solicitor finding ways to blame others and gaslight us for her lack of engagement, errors, and general poor service.
At each step of the sale of our property we had to chase for engagement, with emails and phone calls going unanswered. We got to the point where we had to escalate to senior partners in the firm to get any engagement and focus from our solicitor.
There was an abundance of errors and issues with contracts and documentation, from the first set of forms we received, to the contracts containing errors, the TF1 forms needing to be returned for correction (which our solicitor had signed off as correct), and the completion statement containing basic errors.
There were delays and oversights in the enquiry process that we believe delayed our exchange, and errors with the bank transfer form when we were asked to review it.
Our recommendation is to avoid - we will not be returning customers.

We were very happy with our experience, although it was a long process at times due to factors relating to the chain and out of our control , the service was efficient and friendly and our questions were dealt with very professionally by Louise and her team

Very satisfied

I have known this company for many years and also some of the lawyers, I have used them before and would do so again.

It was a lengthy process owing to the fact that my buyer pulled out and I had to find a new one.

J&P dealt with it all with patience and expert experience, I was very pleased with the eventual completion, it all went quite smoothly.

Review of Louise Hyland & her team on our Move.

My partner & I were really impressed with Louise and her team. It became a stressful procedure due to legal obstacles but Louise and her team made the procedure run smoothly and were so helpful when we needed to check anything. Louise provided regular updates and reassured us on many occasions. I would highly recommend.

We appointed Judge & Priestley to conduct the residential conveyancing process on a recent house purchase which started back in June 2019 and completed in September 2020. The team at J&P consisting of Louise, Zanab, Chloe and Tillie were absolutely fantastic throughout and we couldn't recommend them highly enough! They were friendly, efficient and responsive especially at right at the end of the process where they were a great help at getting it all completed under a lot of pressure. Thanks for all your hard work and all the best!

Louise and the team at Judge and Priestly were second to none, truly professional and patient during the selling and buying of our house.

Even in Louises absence the team we’re very responsive and supportive give the various bumps in the road.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Louise and J&P.
