Professional, Courteous, Understanding, and Quick Response

I shopped around for reasonably priced solicitors, having needed applications for both my wife and stepdaughter. I was so thankful for Bahdshah Khan's advice through Alison Law!

Whilst others were asking for double the costs upfront, the team at Alison Law offered a very reasonable price for both applications, taking into account the relationship between them. And believe me I shopped around twice, first for the spouse visa renewal 3 years ago and second for the ILR.

Bahdshah helped us on both occasions, and the fact that he's still at the firm years later meant that he understood our requirements and knew us from the initial application we'd made. We spoke on the phone, and whilst he wasn't always available (understandable!) he did call back every time.

Today we officially had word that the ILR was successful and we want to celebrate a stressful number of years going through the process - sadly I have work to do - but I just wanted to leave this review here as a thankyou to the team involved and that I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Alison Law in future. :-)

Thank you all.

Don’t give them your money

Alison law isn’t a scam like you will read on some other reviews. They are a genuine legal office…they just hate having to do any actual legal work is the problem.

I decided to pay for Alison laws services because I wanted to apply for a spouse visa. In the end we had to apply twice, and the whole process took about 3 months more than it needed to, just because Alison law is so bad in communication and actually keeping their promises.

For the first application things were relatively smooth. They were already very bad at communicating. But things were progressing, in may 2024 we finally placed our first visa application. Only to find out 3 months later that due to negligence on the side of Alison law the application had been rejected.

We decided to opt for another application, this time Alison would actually look at the attachments before blindly uploading them.
This time things really derailed on Alison’s side. I had to contact them weekly, because every single week they would miss their deadline. In the space of 2 months, they have failed to keep their promise or meet a deadline an impressive 21 times. And 21 times I can to chase them to actually do the work they are being payed to do. If you don’t chase them you categorically won’t hear from them. They just don’t care.

After one of their immigration officers (Nadeem) failed to meet his promise 6 times in 1 week time, and used his secretary to take all the fall for it, I decided to file a complaint with the legal ombudsman for negligence and fraud.

Alison law doesn’t care about helping you. They will be really eager to lure you in and take your payment, but the second they have your money they will drop you like a brick. They care about collecting money, and that’s it. Don’t waste your time and money here, knows I did.

Very helpful advice

I am exceedingly grateful to the legal team for their efficiency and cooperation, especially Bahdshah and Dawud for helping me compile and submit my application within a reasonable turnaround. I also thank Shabnam with the logistics of the biometrics application. Badhshah has been very knowledgeable and proficient as a legal adviser, and he has been helpful with following up with the Home Office on my Further Leave to Remain application. I highly recommend Alison Law with regard to immigration matters.

Low quality disappointed

Rik was worst 'solicitor' I ever encountered. He is very inexperience, despite being older. I think maybe he working as a sales before a legal secretary. They take money, then ignore calls - may unhappy ppl complain on google about this company

Paid, and never heard from them again.

Absolutely awful experience, no communication, bungled the paperwork, only ever had a single 30 min session with the lawyer. Had to correct my application, where they managed to get dates of birth, passport numbers wrong despite having the source documents to hand. Half my documents never got submitted because "the files were too big". Dishonest, unprofessional company who have completely blanked me now that my refusal notice has come in, citing specifically the reasons for refusal were failure to submit documents that I PROVIDED to the solicitor!

Avoid this Fradulant Solicitors

FRAUD SOLCIITORS. Mohammed, Hussain, Sana Shujila, Nadeem Akhtar, Talat Jabin, they all promise to do so and so and don’t do anything. The admin team will ring you 20/30 times a day for reassurance and once you’ve paid the payment they disappear and just pass you on. I left so many messages just for a call back. Could never get through to the solicitor. Do not fall for their tricks and scams. Rang the police fraud department and they already have an open file on Alison Law. Do your research before choosing this Fraudulent company!!!!

Stay away from this firm. They are incompetent!

I initially contacted them to deal with a spouse visa. I explained everything thoroughly and was then told that they would be happy to deal with this case but I would have to pay the fixed fee in full. I then had an appointment booked and to my horror the apparent solicitor had not even read the information in relation to my case. I then asked her to call me back when she had, I received a call back not even 5 minutes. The consultation was followed with a letter that had inaccuracies, spelling errors throughout and was not consistent with my case. I sent that letter back to Alison Law expressing my disgust with the unprofessional manner in which I was dealt with. I am then directed to the apparent solicitor who is head of immigration, Talat Jabin who advised she will be personally dealing with my case, Needless to say she sent me a letter of representation with yet again more errors, inaccuracies and even someone else's personal information on it and the explanation I received was sorry you were sent a wrong letter in error. I also received the letter of their terms, which I had to collect and pay for because they did not even pay the postage. I then receive an email stating that I received the letter in good time. Furthermore, they offered to get the land registry docs at a cost of £5 which is not a service they provide, why offer it? It did cost the same as the postage they failed to pay. This has been a mistake from start to finish and i will follow procedure and then inform the SRA. Solicitors are not appointed to prejudice their own clients! Shabnam was Bruna

My husband hired this company to help secure a sponsorship visa. I have never seen my husband SO STRESSED & ANGRY, they are utterly USELESS. Paid a grand upfront (first mistake) back in early Feb and they HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING, so much so we're now paying someone else to do it. Chased & chased for updates and no one could give us one - in the end asked for a refund & they offered us £300 if we take our reviews down 🤣 How professional. They are IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HOLD OF, someone will always 'ring you back' which obviously they don't. Honestly the WORST and most stressful experience of our lives. AVOID. I can see on here from reviews it's a common thing, I'd advise anyone else who it's happened to, to complain to SRA. And anyone that hasn't used them...don't.

UPDATE SINCE THEIR REPLY:

They only know that we had issues with the employment contract because we contacted them asking for advice, you know because we're paying them (but had absolutely no response from them to help us)

If anyone is wondering, we are still going through with the sponsorship with same employee but using different solicitors 👍

And please do contact us, shame you don't reply to emails and calls as quick as you do reviews!

Also never used the word 'scam' - you said that yourself

Alison Law set my Husband up to “overstay” status

AVOID - DH appointed Alison Law to apply indefinite leave to remain in Oct since his BRP had an expiry date of 2 Jan 22 which was 1 month short of the 5 years requirement but Home Office refused to correct. Paid fixed fee, submitted all information, kept emailing and called for updates and had to wait until 22 Dec before receiving email from Bahdshad Khan the application drafting has just started. Called Bahdshad the next day and found out Alison Law was closed for Christmas till 5 Jan. DH checked with the Home Office and seek outside advice on 30 Dec then went onto changing the password of the application in order to gain access and found the application was incomplete and had not submitted. DH lodged a new application immediately and emailed Alison Law to terminate their service plus requesting a full refund. On 4 Jan, Bahdshad emailed DH asking for new password for him to complete the application and referred the case to Alison Law dispute team after DH resent him the termination notice.
The experience with Alison Law was so stressful and caused great deal of panic to DH throughout. Bahdshad does not like replying email and return calls. DH now decided to obtain the calling history from the mobile company since Bahdshad accused DH not answering the call and caused the application delay. DH will take action to claim for loss and damage as his chase for the refund, again being ignored.
