Awful

Initial letter stated the estate would take nine months to complete, it took them 29 months and then it was unfinished as I had to complete one task which they did not carry out as they failed, and don't think they had any intention, to notify a relevant company of a discrepancy let alone complete it, it took me 50 minutes to sort what they failed to do in 24 months, they never contacted the bank for over a year to complete closure of account and all the while increasing their costs. Bereavement and its after effects are difficult enough as it is but this prolonged the agony, caused unnecessary distress, friction and animosity, made me ill, countless sleepless nights and most importantly let the family down.

Commercial sale with unresponsive buyer

Five stars for Kat Greet. Her persistence and excellent and friendly communications kept the deal going and us sane. I was on the verge off pulling out and finding a new buyer but she got us there. Thanks Kat.

Disappointed

Sarah was pleasant and professional in dealing with writing up my will. However costs were not discussed up front and I was not offered any alternative (I note at the time of paying it is Free Will month?) I was never advised of costs or this option .. I paid 2 weeks later than the date on my invoice as I did not see the email , there was no fuss on Red Kites part but I would not recommend them to my friends as they are just interested in money rather than the client

A great experience

My sisters and I originally had another firm lined up to handle the conveyancing work on our late mother's leasehold flat. However, with a potential buyer in the offing we experienced a real lack of communication and flexibility and felt our needs as clients were being ignored and our instructions overridden without prior explanation or consultation. We therefore decided with only a few working days remaining to try and find alternative solicitors to act for us and Redkite Law responded positively to my phone enquiry within the hour. Thanks to their extremely helpful and efficient admin team we were able to attend their offices within a couple of days to fill out the paperwork and Bethany Harris of the property team was assigned to handle our transaction, which went to completion very smoothly indeed. We found the level of communication both from Bethany and her assistant Adina excellent and were so pleased with their proactive attitude in liaising with the buyer's solicitor and the leaseholder's representatives. Just as we'd wanted, we received clear information on fees and what input would be required from us - which thankfully was minimal as we were able to trust to Bethany to deal with matters arising and keep us all up to speed. It was particularly reassuring to know after our previous poor experience that our particular requirements and limitations had been recognised and acted upon. Overall, an excellent experience and we would have every confidence in both using Redkite's services again and in recommending them to others.

Davey Law were a great team to deal with for our house purchase. As first-time buyers they made sure we were well informed throughout the process. Everything was timely, clear and transparent. Any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly. The fees were reasonable and matched our original quote. Shout-out to Ailsa, our conveyancing paralegal, who was very reassuring and communicative throughout the process. Recommended.

I have used Davey Law multiple times for both buying and selling of a property. Each time I had Ann who was excellent and a pleasure to work with. Everything was provided such as prompt responses, frequent updates when necessary, effecient action to anything requiring attention, and was all around friendly and easy to work with.

I don't have anything negative to say from both experiences and would use Davey Law again, and recommend to others.
