UNHELPUL, UNSUPPORTIVE AND APPALLING COMMUNICATION. AVOID.

My mother-in-law recently bought a new home and the estate agents involved recommended Awdry Bailey and Douglas. How we dearly wish they hadn't. Their attention to detail was woeful (they missed things in the contract and failed to fully understand/forsee what was required), their paperwork contained errors and caused further delays, they never once apologised for their mistakes, and - perhaps worst of all - their levels of communication were utterly appalling. Even the estate agents who recommend them (we have urged them to never make that recommendation again) had to raise a complaint with one of the partners.
Without doubt, Awdry Bailey and Douglas made a stressful situation many, many times worse; they were neither helpful or supportive.
Whilst I can only speak for the Marlborough branch, we were so frustrated, upset and disappointed by their service, I would strongly recommend giving the whole company a miss.

Litigation work

Very happy with the work the firm's work in regard to getting compensation from a legal firm and an estate agent over a land purchase where there was a failure in disclosure prior to exchanging contracts.

Sale of family home for 37 years

Despite this being an exceedingly stressful time we felt that the legal side was taken care of very well, leaving us to cope with all the rest entailed in a move / sale.
