I am glad that I am over dealing with SDLT. I have been in so much stress dealing with them until even after my house was completed, they were still asking for mortgage deed to besigned despite of me sending this 4 times to them and spent a lot of money just to have these documents posted secured! I have been chasing my application myself and chased the local authority just for us to complete on time! Otherwise, we may have completed end of September! If you dont push them, they will never give you update or do any actions! Which is not supposed to be as you paid them for your application to be smoothly processed. However it wasnt the case! I am so disappointed as as a FTB I have to go through this and I have learned my lesson not to use them the next time! I should even be paying myself as I was mostly doing all the chasing! Even the mortgage offer from the Lender I have to contact them myself just for them to receive this on time! I would avoid them specially the Birmingham branch. Still giving 2 stars as atleast my application was completed but LOADS OF CHASING!!!!!

Stephen Crow has been so amazing throughout our experience. I'm sure he had so many cases on his plate but he was always able to provide an update when I requested one. It got stressful towards the end but he was able to give very detailed explanations of what was happening and he worked tirelessly to get us where we needed to be. They may be doing a great job, or not. I donât know because they give nothing other than the occasional automatically generated message. If you hit a bump in the road donât expect to be told. Donât expect them to chase information from other solicitors, or give you any information even if you contact by any method. Donât expect the main office to be any more help than your solicitor. Personally, Iâd say give some other solicitor a go.
