Extremely Professional

Following a head on collision in 2019 with an uninsured at-fault driver I was recommended HCC. I was assigned a fantastic solicitor, a Mr Joe Speed who was was professional and genuinely invested in my case. I required major surgery which impacted my career. Although the case did carry on for a good while (during Covid) and it seemed like there was a lot of hold ups due to the heel dragging of the Motor Insurers Bureau and the courts chasing the other driver to resolve the case, Mr Speed was able to secure a very complete and comprehensive settlement figure for me that will hopefully secure my financial burdens when further surgery on my injuries is required.

I highly recommend HCC and in particular, Mr Speed and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

The new team of solicitors and staff were good, The previous not so good, I didn’t like the way I was approached whilst in hospital and heavily drugged up, I can’t remember being in hospital never mind signing paperwork, If the new team hadn’t come in I was ready for leaving

Mistakes and delays

I'm in my 5th year of a case with HCC, it's not been a good experience - at all.

Changes of solicitor, errors, slow service.

Most recently a confidential medical document handling error that has caused significant issues in the case - only identified by myself (a common theme, all errors have only been caught by my reviews of paperwork) - which there seems little urgency to resolve.

Getting responses can take weeks. Not acceptable.

Ridiculous and Unprofessional

Joke of a company. I'd make a better solicitor after spending 5 mins on Google. Absolutely shocking communication with myself and between the team at HCC.

Case has been ongoing for 4 years now. Endless months without response to my emails and without any updates at all. 2 solicitors have quit and I wasn't informed till I rang and the 3rd one couldn't be bothered to contact me and once he has (only because I chased this up), he couldn't be less "useful" if he tried.

I've been told A, B, C and D by same and different solicitors but suddenly someone changes their mind and it's X, Y and Z.

No handover at all between solicitors, nobody knows anything, they try and steal money from you by claiming more needs to be paid despite VERY CLEAR paperwork stating otherwise but until you argue it and point it out, they won't take notice of.

Complaints team is absolutely unprofessional too. Been told complaint can take 8 weeks to be dealt with. It's been approx 20 weeks and not a single response to my follow ups. Next step is Ombudsman so that's where I'll be going.

Absolutely awful company. Do not recommend them at all. Wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.

(Oh and I have everything in black and white clear emails so it isn't just a random rant)

After 6 years of casework…

In 2017 I was involved in a horrif-ic accident when riding my motorbike. I sustained severe injuries including TBI, this meant that I was very sensitive to everything and I really changed as well. Mike, Emily and the rest of the team have always been very understanding and supportive and after 6 years of a very long process the outcome of my case has been overwhelmingly satisfactory. The counsel appointed by HCC to represent me was an outstanding professional but most of all I dealt with Mike Molloy who was always very measured and professional.

been waiting two years

i had an accident in October 2021 and hcc was supposed to be in charge of my whiplash claim as soon as i got the portal to document my accident the problems started such as not being able to fill in all details as website simply wouldn't allow it I've contacted via phone and email and am just told to wait for a response which I've now been waiting two years for i call minimum once a month since October 21 and in the past months ive noticed my calls are being ignored ? as if my numbers been black listed or something im absolutely appalled as i had even spoken to the manager nasima patel via call and email who assured me she would get back to me and now does nothing but ignore me if someone could give me a call on 07477880515 or email me at ambersheavynxxx@gmail.com would be great as only been wating 2 years thanks

If your reading this please find a new legal team your not crazy

Treated like a deceiver my case and injuries trivialised. Case not taken seriously coming up to 4 years of waiting because I wouldn’t accept the initial offer no medical help beyond the standard physio they offer over video call the MRI that shows my injury was ignored all the blame fell on the health professionals who has no governing body and can say what he wants when he wants and their is nothing you can do about it. If you want to see another healthcare professional they charge you personally.
If you having doubts about weather your being supported your not alone. The complaint office isn’t there to support you he just build a case against what you’re saying and ignore you for weeks if you disagree. Even the claims team that deals with this company cannot be traced. This has to be the worst legal team in the UK.

I felt informed, supported and important at all times

Following a serious car accident where I almost lost my life, I commissioned Kelly's legal services. During the most difficult, emotional and painful times of my life, Kelly was always helpful and there for me. Having received a brain injury, I found it difficult to grasp and retain information quickly but with Kelly's approach and patience, I felt informed, supported and important at all times. Nothing I asked of her felt it was too much trouble. The support package and team that Kelly organised was a key part of my on-going recovery. My sons and elderly parents are grateful, and for the respect and professionalism Kelly gave to my case. For that, I am also eternally grateful. I would have no hesitation, whatsoever in recommending Kelly.
