House move

Absolutely brilliant throughout the process. Competing at 11:45 was a real bonus on the day of the move, this took so much pressure off. I think you would find it hard to beat the team at Davison’s, particular thanks to Hadiya & Emma.

Poor attitude, poor comms. Avoid.

Rude, unhelpful and unfriendly. Information has to be dragged - reluctantly - out of them, assuming they answer the phone, or respond to messages, which they they seldom do. (The usual WFH issues here, I suspect) Even on completion day, with a major delay into late afternoon, on a Friday, and key release starting to look doubtful, they were less than helpful, and Nina was sneeringly rude and unpleasant. The mysterious 'Countrywide', which was never explained, appears to be some sort of fee-gouging umbrella organisation encompassing both solicitors and estate agents, although both deny any direct connection. Davisons Law is clearly a 'factory firm' playing the numbers game, with minimal effort for maximum returns. If you enjoy being spoken to as if you're a 2 year old, Davisons are for you. Avoid this firm and use a local solicitor. In hindsight I wish I'd gone local and paid a little more for a better service. Countrywide still owe me money, which I doubt I'll ever see.

Inaccurate Quotations - Do Not Use!!

I have recently purchased an apartment in Warwick of which I was informed by both Estate Agent and Mortgage Broker that Davisons (Leamington Spa) had conveyed multiple properties in the same apartment block. With these facts I took their quotation as accurate, however this was far from true. My final Completion Statement came back at nearly double what I was originally quoted.

I would have stopped the process if I knew what the costs were mounting up to but the Solicitor failed to inform me until a few weeks before completion. This situation left me financially embarrassed and stressed, seeking help from family.

Davisons claim that they knew nothing about charges issued by the management company of the property, to which they blamed the increase in expenditure. I find this impossible to believe since they had experience with this property. There is no excuse for not informing me of 'unexpected' costs.

Furthermore, they were slow to reply to my complaint, to which they said they had a lot of complaints to deal with! Davisons tried to dismiss my complaint by copy and pasting email correspondence, without actually adhering to what my complaint was - unprofessional. I have now filed an official complaint with the Legal Ombudsman.

Bigger doesn't mean better, if you want a decent service use a smaller firm with more credibility! I cannot stress enough do not use this Solicitor.

Brilliant & Professional Service in Selling & Buying our Homes

Dear Davisons Law Solihull Team,

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude in providing a great service during both the sale and purchase of our homes. We are delighted we chose you to represent us.

A special mention has to go out to Carol Parker and Shauna Meadley, for their excellent cooperation, transparency, and professionalism. Their perseverance throughout the sale and purchase process was truly commendable. They really made us feel at ease that they had things under control, to ensure the sale and purchase process progressed smoothly without any further delays.

The quick turnaround they provided in both the sale and purchase was phenomenal.

Thank You Again Team!

Mr & Mrs Sembi

Awful experience

Quite shocked by all the positive reviews when our experience has been nothing but negative if I’m honest. We could never get through to our solicitor Marcus, there was always a reason either on holiday/lunch/meetings/not in the office which seemed to be every time I called it didn’t matter what time it was this was always one of the reasons. The amount of calls I made asking for a call back from our solicitor Marcus which either never happened or his secretary would call back even though on countless times we have asked to speak to the solicitor who we are paying for. Emails barely responded too which is why I would have to call up. I think I spoke to Marcus twice the whole process! I think I did most of the chasing between the solicitor and estate agents myself to actually get things moving. Unfortunately the house we were buying went into probate so we had to pull out I spoke to Marcus and the secretary Sophia about this then told them we had found a new property I then get a phone call asking if I’m buying 2 properties now as again no one seems to communicate or update files so we have now changed solicitors who seem to have done more in a day then this company did in a week. Constantly chasing no matter of urgency. Was given incorrect information also at the start regarding a payment told by one member of staff a payment was covered and sorted but then when we eventually got to speak to Marcus that was apparently wrong and they needed more money all they could say was sorry he’s told you incorrectly. I would avoid this company if you actually want to have contact with your solicitors!

Disappointing And Unprofessional Performance

Very disappointing and unprofessional performance.

I though this is a properly managed and trustworthy legal firm that can represent us professionally, but after working with the solicitor Ms Christine Salama we realised that what I thought was wrong.

I contacted the firm in July about a hearing in 26 September just to do a simple disclosure of documents and paid £800. Even that I paid her all her money in full more than 2 months before the hearing date, she sent the documents at the last day and didn't send it to the defendant according to the Court instructions. The Court instructions was clear that we should send all the documents to the defendant 14 days before the hearing date. This has lead for the hearing to be vacated and all our time was wasted and now I will have to follow another procedure to reschedule the hearing.

She failed to do a simple job and failed to do the work according to the Judge's instructions which has made the defendant to take advantage of her mistakes and caused the hearing to be vacated. I wouldn't have expected a fresh graduate student to make such a mistake especially that everything is clear in the Court's letter and written in English.
