Very little proactive communication, including not conacting me when exchange and completion dates were discussed. Promised calls backs that didn't happen, and repeatedly interrupted when I did speak the the solicitor. Had to explain what an indemnity policy was to their staff, and asked the same questions multiple times over email. Not a good customer experience, wouldn't recommend

Sona Pancracova Piterova acted for me in the sale of my property. The whole process was smooth and easy . A lot of the forms were online and clear to follow. The sale completed within six weeks , despite the initial offer having been made shortly before Christmas . I found the whole team excellent and was able to speak to Sona promptly whenever necessary during the process .
The price for the sale was very reasonable and I would certainly recommend this company .

I would like to say thank you to Sarah and all the team for their help, advice, professionalism and ultimate conclusion to what has been a very difficult Estate Case.
This is the third time I have used Clowes & Company and have been very happy with their services - first dealing with the sale of our home when we moved to France and then dealing with a Lasting Power of Attorney for my late Mother.
I would not hesitate in recommending them.

The first time I used Sarah to write my will. I said I wanted an individual to receive the whole of my estate, in the event of their death before me, it was to go to The Princes Trust. She got it wrong and put that it should go to her children.
2nd time, I wanted it left to different individual, that was the only change. They messed that up, alongside terrible communication. I was told all sorted, went in to sign and they hadn't changed recipient's address. They changed it while I was there, only to have changed my address! Communication was dreadful but it was covid restrictions, so I put it down to that.
Last time they dealt with the change ok. I changed it, to all being left to Dougie Mac and them as executors. That was under the gift in wills free scheme.They kept the original and my house deeds.
I rang 3 times on 5/2/2025 no answer. Finally left a message, no reply.
Phoned 2 days ago, to be told that they couldn't give legal advice over a boundary fence. I was angry, rang back and told the lady I wanted everything returned to me. She said she would speak to Sarah.
Today I have received it all back, with a covering letter just stating Re
: Wills matter. Please find enclosed all stored documents as requested. Yours sincerely. Clowes & Co Solicitors.
They have always been pleasant but seemly incompetent.
Sarah, thanks for your response. Where did I say or write it was a boundary dispute? I said and wrote that I wanted advice over a boundary fence.
