Difficult Estate Case
I would like to say thank you to Sarah and all the team for their help, advice, professionalism and ultimate conclusion to what has been a very difficult Estate Case.
This is the third time I have used Clowes & Company and have been very happy with their services - first dealing with the sale of our home when we moved to France and then dealing with a Lasting Power of Attorney for my late Mother.
I would not hesitate in recommending them.

D S Bennett Midlands LTD v Clowes & Co LLP
Having used Clowes & Co since 2018 where I was always represented by the same specialist commercial property solicitor. The service provided was always to a high standard and I never encountered any issues during this time.
In December 2023 Clowes & Co were appointed to complete the legals on a commercial lease. Unfortunately for me with no consultation with myself this work was passed over to the senior partner. A less able non commercial property solicitor.
I have appointed a worked with solicitors for 25 years and this was the first time I received no introduction call and had no conversation to discuss the case in hand where any points could be raised & addressed.
My concerns were raised early on in the process with the senior partner and again as a complaint at the end.
In July 2024 court action was taken against Clowes & Co. In October the judge found in my favour and in November Clowes & Co paid the judgement debt and refunded my fees paid, costs and interest.
As for a client having to take their solicitor to court to recoup their fees and winning his case speaks volumes and I cannot recommend this firm.

If I could put 0 I would!
There is simply not enough room to put into full context the experience we have had with Clowes and Co. The communication is not clear, not in good time, not regular to say the least, the review does not let me use negative language, which is fitting for a company who clearly does not care about the best interests of their clients. Who would rather send back and forth emails arguing with clients and third parties than taking accountability for their own lack lustre approach to their practices. Un-professional is a light way of putting my honest feelings about Clowes and Co. Whom I still await a phone call from the owner to speak about my concerns and complaint, it is clear to see why the people beneath her are also rude and argumentative. If you need a conveyancer who will do the job you expect them to do, don't bother.
